Far as i'm aware PS is not a "suspect". GJ should of had someone on the investigation accompany him if he was at all concerned about PS mental state?
PS was also under no legal obligation to talk with police. But look where trying to help gets you.

PS daughter was present for at least one of the visits. Could be more.

Jubelin told the court it was reported in the media that he would be charged “before I was even charged”. He said he didn’t want to organise to hand himself in at the station because “I was concerned police might organise multimedia”, referring to them recording it for the media.

Would he have been charged if it was all legit? I wouldn't think so. I'm sure charging him would not have been taken lightly? And to take it to Trial.
Or what other reason would they take it to this level? Just for the heck of it? And didn't the Judge say previously upthread that GJ has a case to answer?

I think Court may be adjourned for lunch.

I can’t do the tweets when they come back at around 2pm. Could someone else help out there, please?

Was he? How long did he have to be by his wife's side to see her suffer and her health deteriorate from cancer and her consequent death? How did he handle his Grief? Do you know?
What's that got to do with stalking and harassing women?

BBM, That's just disgusting, IMO.

A child is missing and possibly dead and time was of the essence.
Jubes had a job to do and find the child. What if Savage took William?
Maybe Jubes time with Savage saved his life but he needed it recorded to show there was no bullying.
Jubes had a job to find William and that's what he was doing.

If Spedding and Savage are innocent then I feel sorry for them that they were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
GO FIND THE KID NO MATTER WHAT!

I can, Bo, thanks so much for doing them. :)

The prosecution is now cross-examining Jubelin. He asked him if he felt under “pressure” to solve the case after two years working on it, before he targeted Savage. He responded that a previous murder case “took me 10 years... it wasn’t something I wasn’t accustomed to”.

But they aren't investigators. And the issue far as i'm aware is GJ illegally recording conversations with PS. Isn't that what this Trial is about?

Hogan puts to Jubelin that he should have warned Savage “you were going to accuse him of being involved in William’s disappearance” before he was formally interviewed because he was “vulnerable”, given his age and “some mental illness”. Jubelin disagrees.

Indeed peek. Who knows what could have been said in the recording that we are not privvy to
I'm glad the conversations were recorded. Imagine the schitte being flung if they weren't.

and we have no idea who turned on the leaking tap do we.

Jubelin told the court NSW Police Deputy Comissioner Hudson had previously said to him “don’t worry, you won’t be charged, there’s no public interest in you being charged”. He claims “that’s what the Deputy Comissioner said to me”.

Someone or someones must have decided there was public interest in Jube's being charged. Shute who saw that coming?

I guess the only up side is we the public are hearing things that we may never have known.

Who did turn on that leaking tap.

Why tear anything constructive apart? I'm interested and I respect in other's views.

A police officer can't act outside the parameters of the law though. Imagine what a dangerous precedent that would set for all PD's.

Ditto

But I am curious as to whether it was only the house that Jubes tried to put a stop to the warrant being executed. Or both the home and office?

@LiaJHarris
Jubelin told the court he was concerned before he even took over the case that the “Bill Spedding line of inquiry was very overt and very public” and claimed he tried to put a stop to the search warrant being executed on his house, but it went ahead anyway.
