But Slouth AJ has been under suspicion from way back and their is no evidence that ties him to being at “the scene of the crime”, other than his shady history. Take BS neighbour for example who testified seeing BS drive his van into the bush only days after Williams disappearance and he was proven to be wrong. So unless this inquest can provide proof and evidence of what’s being suggested then it’s all purely speculation

Sorry but how do you know there's no evidence? It's just not possible to know this unless you are in team Rossann or close to someone who is? I think we need to remember we don't know what's happening and his evidence is not over...

I'm so ignorant as I'm at a workshop at the moment & can't view much of this - but wasn't TJ spotted (allegedly) in a park in Laurieton? Isn't Kendall on the way from Wauchope to Laurieton?

Edit to add - there is heaps of scrap metal in the kendal area...

he obviously likes to go visit Paul Bickford IMO - Kendall is on the way for that too

And - he so publicly said he was fixing his neighbours hot water system - is that jargon for sleeping with his neighbour - is he hinting now he's sleeping with his neighbour - I don't get it...

The links between AJ, DJ and KL bother me so much. KL was BGM’s best friend for a while. AJ is linked to BS and FA.. and so it continues. All these connections and coincidences are quite mind-blowing. My best guess is that PS was a witness to what happened that morning. IMO

No Kendall isn't on the way from Wauchope to Laurieton. Via the most direct route Kendall is to the west of the Hwy and Laurieton is to the east.

There is heaps of scrap metal around Wauchope. The state forests are full of trails and a common dumping ground for stolen cars.

I don't know where PB was living Sept 2014 but you don't really go through Kendall to get to another town unless you're coming into Kendall from the surrounding farmland.

I've been reading up on Brett Cowan's history, seeing as he comes to mind every time I think of William's disappearance and he's mentioned often in these threads.

Cowan resided in a caravan park in 1987 with a girlfriend when he lured a 6 yr old boy to an abandoned car yard, he abused the little boy and left him with severe injuries in an abandoned vehicle in the bush. When Cowan was questioned by police about the attack, he proclaimed his innocence and said, 'I hope you catch the bastard!' He was later charged after his DNA matched the sample taken from the boy's clothing.
Cowan's ex-wife had lied about his whereabouts on the day Daniel went missing, she said it was out of blind love, she later admitted at his trial he was gone for 5 hours that day.

I've seen CCTV footage of attempted abductions from shopping centres, these lowlifes just snatch and run, one abductor was tackled by a passerby when the mother raised the alarm. A window of opportunity opens up and they take it, they're impulsive and aggressive. It would be easy to carry a 3 year old under the arm without the child screaming or to lure them into the car with a treat, pretending to be a friend of daddys.

I doubt AJ went out scrapping with Duane as often as he claims but it's a good cover when he's up to no good. Did he do it, I don't know but he shouldn't be off the list, imo. There's just too many coincidences and contradictions. Lots of lies being told with a sprinkling of truth, plenty of bush to conceal a body. We don't know the half of it.

It's a hard task to find out why someone came into Benaroon Drive, some looking for odd jobs, unannounced visit to a mate, some are thieves looking for unattended lawn mowers, garden tools, bikes, you name it.
When I lived in QLD on a large property, some guys drove up our long driveway and turned around and left, I have no idea why. I've got lost and driven in a deadend street and drove back out, there are many reasons people drive into a street, it's not as improbable as you might believe. It's just heartbreaking the wrong person turned up when a little boy was out playing and waiting for his dad.

The family of convicted paedophile Tony Jones say he told them on the day William vanished that he was going to visit convicted child abuser Paul Bickford, and that when Jones returned in the afternoon he was drunk.

The alibi Jones has provided to police is that he was out in the bush collecting scrap metal.

Yes his son said that when he phoned his father on the 13th, AJ said he spent the 20 bucks he was given by the community center for fuel on long necks and enjoyed them while with his mate PB . How many long necks do you get for 20 bucks? Maybe AJ will be asked more about the 13th tomorrow.
There could be phone record of son calling his father I guess.

But instead he used the money he was given to buy beer and drank with his mate Paul Bickford, who has also been named as a person of interest.

"I rang him and asked what was going on," Mr Gardoll told the court.

"He said he got 20 dollars instead of a fuel voucher and he bought long necks with it and he was going out with his mate Paul for the day."

Mr Gardoll told the court Jones and Bickford were "best mates".

However Jones claimed he socialised with Bickford on two occasions outside of seeing him at meetings of the Grandparents as Parents Again association, to which they both belonged.

The court had earlier heard from Jones’s son, Duane Gardoll, who described his father in unflattering terms.

“I want nothing to do with him,” said Mr Gardoll, who told the court he’d had very little contact with his father for the first 15 years of his life.

When he did see him, they would collect burnt-out cars, “minus wheels and all the interior”, from the bush.

“I done it two, maybe three times. Then I worked out he was ripping me off,” Mr Gardoll said. “He was getting big money for it, like a hundred bucks a day.”

He said he was “flipping through Facebook” following William’s disappearance and “there was a story about a little kid missing and that” and he went with his wife to his mother’s house, who asked him if he’d seen his father that day.

“I told her I hadn’t seen him all day,” he said.

He said Jones later expressed an interest in going out to search for William but instead took money set aside for petrol and used it to go “drinking long-necks” with another local sex offender, Paul Bickford.

There's just too many people in this mix and they can't all be responsible for taking WT, and maybe none of them did? TJ & PB were convicted of molesting children as terrible as that is, but how would they have seen WT in the yard if they probably weren't even aware of him being there, and if they weren't even there? Or know an opportunity would become available to take WT? The FFC said it was just "minutes" and he was gone from the yard. And WT was only in Kendall for approx. 13 hours before the crime against him happened to disappear him, and most of that time was overnight seeing as they arrived around 9pm. the night before. And i imagine for most of that time the kids spent indoors as well.

That is what I don't understand. I thought they provided assistance for food and utilities.
