So I wonder which case Abbott is referring to here???? The one that Jones was in jail for on that occasion??? Or something else...... like William's case????

"I didn't give you up"

The inquest heard Mr Jones and Abbott met in Grafton prison in 2019 and had a falling out over what Abbott was saying about the Tyrrell investigation.

"You were talking s***," Mr Jones said, under questioning by Abbott, on Wednesday.

"I said 'I didn't give you up' and I was locked in my room for a number of weeks because the officer said I was going to be shivved," Abbott replied.

It sounds like TJ was accusing FA of giving police info about him. Prison officers isolated him because they believed TJ might attack him? IMO

Jodie Huntley told the court she was wary of Abbott and “didn’t want him around my children”. The Huntleys have both finished their evidence.

The hearing has been adjourned and will resume tomorrow morning.

"Frank was saying 'I knew they'd get him, I knew they'd get him'," Mr Teeling told the Coroners Court.

"I said 'Who' and he said 'That Jones chap' and I wondered what that was all about."

Mr Teeling told the court he'd not previously discussed the Tyrrell investigation with Abbott who he'd known since the early 1990s.

"So he decided he just had to tell you?" counsel assisting the coroner, Gerard Craddock SC, asked Mr Teeling.

"Yeah, for some unknown reasons," the shopkeeper replied.

"I did (see media coverage of Jones that night) ... it worried me why he is telling me that."

Mr Teeling had known FA for a while. I wonder if he knew him before he was in Sydney for the trial or met him when he moved back to the Mid North Coast?

Since the 1990's according to The Telegraph....

So Frank Abbott, who was employed to "do odd jobs" in a scrap metal yard at Taree/Old Bar didn't know Tony Jones, who collected scrap metal around Wauchope?? Hmmmm.

On the plus side it will be good for the residents to know to keep away from these people. Sorry for them such a beautiful little town, that probably felt very quiet and safe.

Having said that being from Melbourne... the reality is I’d be no doubt in shock if I found out the numbers of people who I should be “weary” of...

Yes now that’s a good pick up Slouth. FM did has something about the car having it’s windows down. What are your thoughts on that?
and also no hub caps...i wonder if it had them off before the 12th and then on again after that date ?

Wasn't it said today that he visited Paul Bickford the day after? On the 13th? when he got his fuel voucher... his son said they are best friends apparently IMO. I read it earlier - will try to find link
and didnt he also get drunk with PB the afternoon William went missing ??

Yes his son said that when he phoned his father on the 13th, AJ said he spent the 20 bucks he was given by the community center for fuel on long necks and enjoyed them while with his mate PB . How many long necks do you get for 20 bucks? Maybe AJ will be asked more about the 13th tomorrow.
There could be phone record of son calling his father I guess.

Mr Gardoll said on the day after William disappeared, he suggested they get money from a local community centre for motorbike fuel so they could join the search for the missing toddler in the state forest

But instead he used the money he was given to buy beer and drank with his mate Paul Bickford, who has also been named as a person of interest.

"I rang him and asked what was going on," Mr Gardoll told the court.

"He said he got 20 dollars instead of a fuel voucher and he bought long necks with it and he was going out with his mate Paul for the day."

Mr Gardoll told the court Jones and Bickford were "best mates".

However Jones claimed he socialised with Bickford on two occasions outside of seeing him at meetings of the Grandparents as Parents Again association, to which they both belonged.

Man has no memory of day Tyrrell vanished
To ask for cash for fuel to look for William and then go of and drink it.....that is one sick sick individual...i still want to know how he knew William was missing

Mrs Huntley also testified that she often saw FA, GO and a man who looked like TJ together. She was not positive it was TJ, but he was often at FA’s caravan.

So if this third man is TJ...…… Why are they both so adamant that they don't know each other???? Because they are in it together perhaps?????

If this third man isn't TJ …….. Then who is he?? Does he look like TJ????? And is it possible that this unknown person holds the key to the mystery????

I wonder what Owen will say about this??? Will he identify the third person that they hung out together with???

Well it seems he was told when he arrived home drunk at about 3 ish. I am not sure when he told his son to get the unregistered bikes ready and he would pop down and get a handout for fuel in the morning. Not sure if that arrangement was made in person or over the phone either.
But it was said the son called him on the 13th and he had gotten the $'s but had decided long necks with Bickford was a better option than fueling up the unregister bikes and heading over to Kendall to search.
It does sound like a load of crap imo.

Perhaps their was relevance to the SIL’s nickname “Micky Blue Eyes”. Worth a look up interesting read
Hi Christ74, I am a bit behind in the thread when I saw your post. Hearing this reference gave me a shiver down the spine, it seems IMO they are refering to the movie Mickey Blue eyes, which had Hugh Grant in it, movie I think was in the 90's plot is Mickey is a well squeaky clean lawyer who is about to marry the girl of his dream one catch, her father is New York Mafia. Had not seen the movie had flatmates talking about also it was on talk show where Hugh Grant mention how he meet interesting parties to gain knowlage of the role. The Godfather calls him Micky Blue eyes as a code name....... Interesting twist is Hugh Grant character faces court were he is question does he know or met people who are of the New York Mafia.

Considering TJ and FA convictions, and the nickname is given to son in law, IMO unless he (SIL) looked like Hugh Grant( or in trouble for a "Divine Experience") if it is refering to him marring into the family it is poor taste.
