Detectives work on many different cases, not just one.

The cases don't all somehow have to be linked.

Given detectives involved in William's case were on scene at AJs tells me they are linked.

OK got my notes .

From GN's evidence:

His statement was taken on 4/10/17

He arrived @ 13:00. PS was standing at top of driveway. PS was concerned as across the road a boy had gone missing. He helped with search .

GN & PS took part in 1st line search ( north Benaroon Drive )

Also took part in other line searches ( I don't have written down where thou or when )

I have written down - Intending to stay 1 night as son was playing grandfinal next day

I think we always knew / or hoped, that “the name” was in William’s file somewhere….

Hopefully now this case will be solved, and dear William can come home ….. and his families can have some closure and find some peace….

They were? Is there a link for that info? I personally didn't see - or read about - any of the same detectives there (but I may have missed it).

Also, do we think that on the same day that AJ was found that this news about William's case would be breaking already? If the cases were linked. Doesn't seem like a heck of a lot of investigation and verification time for that to happen.

They very well might not be linked at all. But I am still suspicious about that abandoned place they found in the search for AJ, which may be a drug den and had loads of kids toys. It's possible that in the search for AJ, they inadvertantly stumbled on links to William and/or other kids who may be known or unknown as victims of abuse.

I am aware of that but certain detectives were chosen to be there is what someone told me.

Jubes was taken of the case in feb 2019, the new team has been working on this case for some time now ( over 2 1/2 years ) I hope they have come up with the goods :)

It will be very interesting if someone Jubelin gave his all clear too was now under the full spotlight radar.

From memory, I think they left the next day?..............will drag out my notes again :D

Didn't Newton make a point of saying he was able to leave Benaroon without his vehicle being searched. Where did he live? What vehicle did he use that day?

It was reported that this shack was 1km south of the Elfalak property, which makes it on either their property or AH's.

Items from an abandoned house about one kilometre from the boy’s home were also seized. The derelict shack was strewn with rubbish and was declared an active crime scene, according to Channel 9.

How long did the Newtons stay? Because the search map records Regina Newton being present at the search of the PS block.

Male Newton was at that search too. The guy with full head of white hair

Going back to FA , did the coroner ever say why he was allowed to listen/watch the inquest from his cell.?
There must have been some very compelling reason for it, did FA testify at all?

BBM. Are you sure? I understood Cowan grew up in Brisbane, was in NT from 1993, and then lived in Beerwah, Queensland. (Edit: And then Perth, when he was engaged in the sting.) At what point was he living near Casino?

Absolutely positive. In the police video recorded with him Cowan gave all the details of address. It's on YouTube. Town was Uki. I have always wondered what he was doing there and who was he living with.

Sure it's this one

Because he was summoned to appear and represented himself

I am sure we want the same outcome no matter what we believe...
With all due respect I think it was simply because of the squad / division that they're in.
'The Homicide Squad has not yet [at that stage] been called in although they have been alerted as is the protocol for all missing persons cases.

No he never gave evidence in the end, despite the coroner saying many times to him ( when he was x examining witnesses & arguing with them etc) , that he would get his chance to give evidence. He made out that he was not afforded a legal rep IMO at the start of the sessions in Taree, but it was all part of his cunning plan IMO. I don't know why in the end he never got in the witness box.......

Everytime when we got to the end of a witness & it came time for FA be asked by the coroner if he had any questions for the witness, it seemed like we all held our breath , on a few occasions he had no questions ( like the witness "Tanya" where he said " No, she's just a young girl " )

So, so, so many creeps around this case :(

The exchanges between him & TJ were just a mockery of the system, it was a circus...........I'll never forget being in the same room as that creep TJ & having him sit within arms reach of me  He genuinely made my skin crawl .......

FA choose to represent himself. IMO to cross examine all the witnesses. He also made a joke out of the court. I don't believe he is a "silly old man " & that he is as cunning as a gutter rat!!

Gee's thinking back , that was a rough couple of weeks in Taree!

Yes, I suspect that even if he'd not chosen to represent himself--as he had a right to do--he would have had viewing rights; but he would not have been allowed to cross-examine witnesses in his own person or otherwise make fun of the inquest. Because as a suspect he was an interested person and had therefore been given leave to appear.

As you say so many creeps, would love to know if any of them tried to claim the reward, they give the impression they’d sell their mother for a few $$?
Unless they are more frightened of what the killer might do to them, or what hold he has over them.

Thank you for "Uki". You're right, that was in 2005. Nothing definite on what he was doing there. Brett Cowan | Murderpedia, the encyclopedia of murderers
