At that time I thought of something like ADHD and it would very well make sense, to mention it, when the little boy still was searched for, IMO.

If it made sense to mention another relevant health condition, they would have mentioned it. imo

When people go missing here, we frequently hear about them being at risk because they require medication, or have a medical condition, etc.

Eg:
Missing Morangup man requires medication

Earlier police said the 48-year-old man has a medical condition that requires medication.
Update: The missing man has been located

Police have concerns for his welfare as he requires medication.

I agree, if it was something that would effect the outcome during the search for him it would have been made public. Eg., the recent search for AJ being non-verbal autistic.

I believe that he was talking about TJ at that time.
You are right, I was referring to a seperate incident and I’m misremembering the location of the conversation. As for what I was talking about - a passage from a story around inquest as reported here reads:
[DP], whose family property [FA] lived on for a period, was asked by counsel assisting the Coroner Gerard Craddock SC "Did [FA] say 'I know where [WT] is, why don't you check [GO]’s place?"
"Yes, he was telling everyone in Kew. He said it many times," [DP] responded.

Perhaps it was more of a reference to location than FA accusing GO however…

Danny Parish, whose family property Abbott lived on for a period, was asked by counsel assisting the Coroner Gerard Craddock SC "Did [FA] say 'I know where [WT] is, why don't you check [GO]’s place?"
"Yes, he was telling everyone in Kew. He said it many times," Parish responded.

Just an FYI - your link leads to a 404 not found for me.

That was a soooooo frustrating for me. At the time I was pretty fixated on FA as the potential offender. That whole group that hung out at the Community centre and did various odd jobs in the Bennaroon neighborhood seemed very sketchy. But something about FA in particular really bothered me and made me so suspicious about him specifically. And others seemed to be pointing to him as well....

Then it just fell flat when they abruptly ended witnesses and no sign of FA having to answer any questions...
katydid23, which whole group that hung out at the Community centre? Who are you talking about and are you sure it's the (Kendall?) Community centre? Thanks.

Drsleuth, Do you know if this was said by FM at the inquest or is it another error? Thank you for clarifying these things. It is terribly frustrating to have formed ideas around what is reported only to find out it is misreporting or embellishment rather than fact.

“William’s sister was still drawing,” she said.

“He was getting very bored with the game. He was running up and down.

“I said to William (and his sister) ‘you know what? Why don’t we go down and see if Daddy’s car is here yet’.”

The suggestion the FM encouraged William to run towards the driveway to see his FF has always bothered me. As a parent myself, I would never suggest my child run towards a driveway with a possible oncoming car JMOO

Me neither but the drive was wide and long,at least 20m, a quiet estate with only 21 houses so not much traffic and WT and his sister has already been cycling on the drive. Seemed like a safe bet. It was a cul de sac too afair so again, not many cars around.

Or did the children usually run down the slope of the rear yard from where cars approaching could be seen. I don't recall the driveway being mentioned and according to GJ he ran around to the right towards the rear of the house.

I was thinking about the group of 'handymen' that had some kind of meetings concerning construction day jobs, and I thought it was in the fairgrounds or the community centre. From what I remember, it included some shady characters like FA and several others that he sometimes worked with on local homes.

FA and GO and I can't remember the rest...

I thought what she suggested was that she and the children go together to look for daddy's car. Not that they go spy for themselves.

I think your thinking of the Men's Shed that was talked about some time ago. From memory the only one that was possibly associated was RP's brother(?) that was the caretaker/manager of the showgrounds - don't quote me though :) Men's shed's are usually quite reputable.

katydid23, if there's information showing that FA went to Kendall Community Centre with a group of handymen to discuss their day jobs it would be important to know about. But at the moment I'm wondering if maybe your post is a mis-remembering? Based on information I can't quote or link to (because the book is not approved here), I'm wondering if it's possible your post is correct about FA meeting his mates from time to time but incorrect about why they were meeting and where?

I will have to find it in the old threads. I don't think I am totally mistaken. I am pretty sure there was a group of men who did handiwork, odd jobs, using tools etc...and there was a meeting place where they could meet and discuss it. I remember a lot of discussion about it here before the inquest began.

Community centre might not be the right name for it. It seemed more like an athletic field type of place or senior centre?

There was definately discussion about a men’s shed not sure who was attending though and I think before we knew about FA.

Maybe I am mistaken but I thought it was eventually figured out that FA had connections to some of the guys who met at the shed. And some of them worked jobs at homes in the neighborhood where WT went missing.

Here is a post on the previous page that reminded me of the group that did odd jobs together:

Slouth posted:
If I have remembered this correctly …… FA was known to be a friend of GO and do occasional work for him…
GO had recently done a quote to fix FGM’s back deck.
GO was seen in Kendal that morning - paying his advertising at the Community Centre….
FA was known to Police for SA offences…

I don’t know if FA was actually seen on Benaroon Drive that day?
But his connection to GO and his previous history made Police look into him …. (A link…)

IMO

Could it be through the questioning of witnesses about FA, somebody else started to look just as, if not more suspicious? GO perhaps?

Earlier, the court heard that Abbott had bragged to local townspeople that he knew where William was buried.

Parish said Abbott had on several occasions claimed to have knowledge of William’s whereabouts, and suggested that he had been buried by another local man, Geoff Owens.

Craddock asked Parish: “Did Frank Abbott say ‘I know where William Tyrrell is, why don’t you check Geoff Owen’s place?’”

Parish replied: “He was telling everyone in Kew.”

He added that he had made the claim “many times”.

‘I picked up William Tyrrell’: Dying man claimed he drove toddler 300km from home

Abbott was living in Logans Crossing when he knocked on Jodie Huntley's door about 10 or 11pm one evening.

Ms Huntley recalled: 'He said 'have you heard the news? Geoff is a suspect in the William case and the police have come to see him.'
