Did I just hear that Ch7 TV News item correctly .... "police have gone on record to say that they are fairly sure they know who took William"?

Presenter also said that this seems a more certain, targeted search. And sadly they are searching for a deceased William.

They must have a fairly solid idea to be able to fairly confidently say they are looking for remains .

Police are expected to undertake two to three weeks of “high intensity” searching, under and above ground.

Detective Bennett said the search is “not speculative in any way”, and police are acting on coronial orders.

“We’re very hopeful that we can bring this matter to some sort of conclusion,” he said.

However, “I am not anticipating a swift end to the investigation by any means,” he later added.

To me if they’re so set on searching these 3 areas for a body and “not looking for evidence” they’ve got either some pretty concrete evidence he’s there or they’ve got at least a partial confession. Otherwise, seems very odd to sound so certain on these 3 areas doesn’t it?

I thought they searched this Kendall area with a fine tooth comb 7 years ago and other times since? The news update posted above says this area has not been searched previously and it's only 1km away from Grandma's house?? Surely they would have searched a radius bigger than 1km from the point William disappeared???

Well that's down the track isn't it? I'd like to know who's suspected before the person is charged. Or are you saying the person is currently on a court list for something else?

That’s what I’m wondering, how could anyone already be on a court list if no arrests that we are aware of made ?
