Cob & Co Rd is no where near FA's area

From Det Ch Insp Laidlaws wording it would seem Cobb an Co Rd wasn't the only area they revisited yesterday. They did have a number of maps.

"(Police) returned to Kendall with local detectives and specialist forensic officers to have another look at the residence where William was last seen, as well as other areas nearby," Det Ch Insp Laidlaw said.

Police are scouring bushland around Herons Creek close to where convicted paedophile Frank Abbott was living at the time William Tyrrell disappeared.
The Herald has been told that the search, near the property where Abbott was living at the time of William's disappearance, is a continuation of the coroner's order to search the bushland for any clues and not as a result of new information.
Police search for Tyrrell in bushland near paedophile's home

Police officers on Monday scoured an area of bush on the NSW Mid-North Coast as part of a new search in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of William Tyrrell.
Investigators are focusing on an area near an old saw mill, where convicted paedophile Frank Abbott lived in a caravan at the time of the toddler's disappearance in September 2014.
The coronial inquest into the boy's suspected murder has previously heard the 79-year-old Abbott would often ramble to neighbours about the smell of a "dead human" near Herons Creek.

Since little AJ Elfalak was found I can’t help thinking that little William did the same but wasn’t found.

Searchers said the thick bush opposite No. 48 was impenetrable, well I’ve always disagreed.

William was over excitable that morning and what if he, for example, chased a rabbit into the bush and got disoriented and kept running in the wrong direction.

The bush and terrain would be similar to the bush at Putty and what if William had an asthma attack or fell into a wombat hole and he was overlooked and never found.

He might be deceased so very close.
Just thinking our loud.

That has always been my thought on what happened to William.

Me too Toots. :(
Three year olds are so little and with rocks, holes and ravines it would be totally feasible.

The vacant block opposite has a house now and excavators could’ve easily missed any remnants of fabrics or bones.
Today I’m feeling this possibility.

How extensively did they search the surrounding bush?

It seems that toddlers can go much further than adults assume they can. I remember a couple sad cases here where they eventually found
young children outside of the original search zones---but too late. :(

Would be the simplest explanation but highly doubt it. I think Jubes knows and others too, hopefully just a matter of time.

In this recent article , it seems they have gone over materials gathered thru out the 7 year investigation and something they haven't noticed before has now come to light .

'Further information has since come to light, as part of our ongoing review of the materials gathered by investigators since the moment William went missing seven years ago,” Strike Force Rosann Officer-in-Charge, Detective Chief Inspector David Laidlaw, said.

Mr. Big (police procedure) - Wikipedia

Mr. Big (sometimes known as the "Canadian technique") is a covert investigation procedure used by undercover police to elicit confessions from suspects in cold cases (usually murder). Police officers create a fictitious grey area and/or criminal organization and then seduce the suspect into joining it. They build a relationship with the suspect, gain their confidence, and then enlist their help in a succession of criminal acts (e.g., delivering goods, credit card scams, selling guns) for which they are paid. Once the suspect has become enmeshed in the criminal gang they are persuaded to divulge information about their criminal history, usually as a prerequisite for being accepted as a member of the organization.

I don’t get either reference ?

And as I’m typing the advert for 7 news report on William for next Tuesday pops up . The bio gran pops up, to me she’s just trying to get her face on tv and paid for it . My expectations are very low for the investigative 2 part show.

A tweet by NSW Police Force (12 Sep 2021) with four photos or screenshots from the recent video, three showing the lawn around the corner from the back deck at FGM's, and one showing the entrance to the Batar Creek Road property which hosted the "riding school" in 2014.
