The family of a teenage girl who has been missing for three days are desperately hoping for good news.

Sixteen-year-old Zoe Irwin has been missing since Friday afternoon. She was last heard from when her mother spoke to her on the phone around 2.30pm that day.

It's believed Zoe was heading to Bondi Beach to meet with an unknown person.

Her family has not heard from her since and is concerned for her welfare, police said.

Zoe Irwin is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with long, dark brown hair and of a medium build.
