BBM - sorry you feel that way. i certainly didn't intend to make it appear DIRTY or that a shovel of dirt had been thrown on her. sorry you hate it.

I hope you don't take that wrong, but if you do it's totally my fault because of how I said it, I'm sorry, what I mean is that I hate the reaction that occurs in my stomach when looking at it because it is a WONDERFUL picture of adrienne and like you said her smile is so breathtaking and she looks so sweet and innocent and like someone you'd be blessed to have in your life, and then knowing how she was found, the subconscious.. and then conscious... reaction my gut had to scrolling down and seeing what appears to be flecks of dirt across the bottom and movin up towards her face was a reaction that I hated to feel, because this is such a tragic case and it reminded me that she's no longer with us, and someone probably buried her (often a sign of caring about the person, IMO) or else just tossed her out into the dirt (often a sign of a stranger, IMO)...

I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt or offend you but I can understand if I did, so please accept my apologies, it wasn't my intent.

I was thinking that I hope any leftover hospital/ medical bills from her illness are payed off or voided for the family's sake- and got a creepy feeling that maybe the perp met her during that time? Became obsessed?
Does anyone know how long she was hospitalized, did she stay in care anywhere else? Know it's a little random, but...
Also curious if the boy that the roommate said had a crush on her was interviewed and is there any info from him? He may have been more observant of her, who she talked to, emotional state, what happened, etc.

BBM - that is a brilliant observation, IMO. The only thought I had in regards to that boy was, did he do it or didn't he. It absolutely never occurred to me that he may have been quietly observing her due to his crush and seen or picked up on something nobody else did!

Thanks for mentioning that, I really hope LE talks to him again to see if he might have ANYTHING at all that could help!

Thanks Sand!
Does this map include where Adrienne was found?

jmo

No. Approximately 30 miles east of that route (B being north, A being south).

That is a LONG way to go on surface streets, especially if you are trying to dispose of a body and don't want to get pulled over. Lots of traffic lights and businesses. Probably construction at some points, too. Much safer and faster imo to hop on the 60 right to the 88. Right where the 60 meets the 88 is the "end" of the 60 as a major highway. If you just stay on it (the main roadway), it continues South, but you have to make a conscious decision to go in any other direction. And the 60 after the southbound turn becomes just a road. Just to try and give some sense of that specific area and what the killer's decisions would have looked like.

Also, it gets light in Phoenix very early at that time of year. If her last communication was at 4:43 am, it would have been light out within a pretty short time after that. Probably less than half an hour.

I agree it is a long way, it is however, another way. :) If someone just wanted to get the heck out of dodge and wasn't plotting the fastest, easiest way, one might get on a road and just start driving until they felt like they'd gone far enough...

Something else... there are cameras on the freeways. Maybe they were avoiding those (knew there were)?

So much sadness at this outcome. Hope and pray that whoever was responsible is found and arrested soon. Sometimes silence does speak volumes, and we sure saw this with the fact that they had found her over a week ago.

Although I have not posted much here, I have followed every one and admire all of you so very much.

I made the majority of maps for this thread. Too tired/emotional about this case to make a map right now.

It's easy though. Anyone can do it!

Plus I've been having a feeling ppl may not want me here anymore, so to be honest i don't see the point in spending all that time just to get figuratively spit in the face and accused of silly little things after.

I might make one to send via private message for anyone that is actually interested, but I digress. Tired.

oh just where the heck do you think you're going, missy. i think your mental exhaustion is getting the best of you. you've worked endlessly on this case and you have no idea how much your contributions have positively influenced these threads. don't you dare step away from here! if i don't have my twin.. then who do i have? ;) *hugs* better days are ahead my dear & you know i'm here for you!

I must admit, I was somewhat prepared for this some time next week, but not tonight. My heart is broken and it has taken me a few minutes to wipe away my tears. I am glad that her family has some closure now. I know how I feel, I can not even imagine the heartbreak Adriennes family must be feeling, but I know God will get them through this. I agree with several of you that the monster who did this is going to be exposed and soon. Her body being found is going to be a constant reminder to them. They can not hide behind the out of sight out of mind any longer. I am right there with you MAMACITA, I am so angry! It would not pay for me to live in Tempe right now! Adrienne sweet child rest in peace and Adriennes family you are in my prayers.

Such heartfelt words, Good witch. I am finding with the high of HA being found relatively safe last week and the low of AS being found gone this week, where I am struggling for words, you have done a fantastic job of saying what is lingering within me. I just wanted to simply say Thank You.

I need a favor. Earlier I saw a vid with the man who found her. Can anyone link me to that? I am lost.
Thanks.

Amanda, thank you, so working so tirelessly for AS and all of the others here at WS, it truly is appreciated.

<snipped>

I was going to roll over and mope a bit and snooze the alarm, but instead I thought no - I'm getting up to face the day and I'm going to do it well, at work, the gym and at home, because I have the chance to.

I'm not religious, so I won't be praying or talking about heaven and angels, but I hope Adrienne's family can find some closure.

And on a slightly different note.. LET'S FIND US A PERP!!

RSBM and BBM

Thanks for the pick me up this morning, reet. IDK about anyone else, but I sorely needed it. :seeya:

I don't think that they would utilize university all the way east bc I don't think they would want to drive through downtown Tempe with a body in the car.

If it were me, I would go S on hardy until it met baseline.

Then I'd go east on baseline.

I would then head north on north ellsworth rd until it turns into usery pass rd and eventually dead ends at bush highway at the north west face of the superstitions. That highway leads straight to that tributary type of lake.

Either way I think he accessed bush hwy.

Jmo.

Will get some maps done in a little while. Will have to hand draw. Thank god I'm an artist bc I'm so darn computer illiterate.

Here here! Yesterday and this morning were tough/heartbreaking/nightmarish!

I cried all over myself when I got the news bc I just thought "Oh God, no... I don't want to ever know what it was like for Rick and his wife to get that visit from investigators..."

Remembering Rick's pleas for her safe return and his optimism despite the odds, it just kills me now.

Wimpy surface street driver would do this:

View attachment 36588

A -5th street and Mill

Mill, north to Curry.
East on Curry to Scottsdale Rd.
North on Scottsdale Rd. to Indian School.
East on Indian School to B.

And...........We have a WINNAHHHHH!!!!!! *and the crowd goes wild*
I like to think of it as the "I be a chillin' "driver but that's how I would go. Everything down there got to be like another planet when they put in the 202.

My feeling as well.
You have been valuable to me on this thread!
Everyone is. - no one should feel like their opinions aren't welcome.

Maybe just take a break.

ITA and although it disturbs me it took awhile to confirm it was Adrienne. Dylan was missing 6+ months and it was confirmed quicker it was him (see quote below). I wonder why it took so long? Maybe they needed dental records for certain reasons? Maybe they had to be sure her tooth brush or hair brush was AS's and not one of the roommates as they lived together. Things that make me go...hmmm though.

(Regarding Dylan) - They worked more than 1,600 man-hours during the five-day search. The day after it ended, Bender said reported that the CBI had identified human remains and had identified them as Dylan’s. http://www.pinerivertimes.com/news.asp?artid=1196

BBM - I have a Garmin GPS and it alerts me to cameras up ahead. So even if someone didn't know they were there, if they had a Garmin GPS on the dash of their car they would be alerted to that fact and could detour, IMO and IME

What does "surface street" driver mean?

Someone who's not in a hurry to get where they're going and/or doesn't think where they're going is worth 55 mph (55mph? Seriously??), random road rage, the occasional honk or international symbol of peace, and the long line for the Camelback Exit......"someone who avoids freeways, expressways, etc".

Several nights ago I saw NG did a feature on Adrienne and maybe JVM too, and now I am thinking that somehow they had an inkling about the fact that a body had been found because otherwise why did they randomly run with her story then, and then go quiet since? I wonder if/almost think they will be covering her again tonight now that the identification is complete and confirmed, especially if that is the case.. I dunno... gut feeling....

Sunrise was 5:18 that day, low temp 84 degrees. Saturday morning, the day before Father's day. Last call was 5:04?
I have to believe there was a lot of people up and about, getting out of the valley.
