OMG!!!! That bottom pic has the home (on the left) that the remains where found next to! The Blazer/Bronco was stuck just North of that residence! See the arena at the top left hand corner? HOLY S***!
Here's a raw feed of the rescue to give you an idea of the amount of water going through there. They were just so close the next day when they were digging out their vehicle.........whoa!

http://www.kpho.com/video?clipId=9115513&autostart=true

Holy crap!!!!!!! That is almost EERIE! Heck no, it IS eerie!

Just WOW.

Well, I guess the bronco is a testament to the fact that despite the force and swiftness of the water, things get hung up in that area.

AS was found in Weekes Wash. She could have been buried way up the wash and been washed down. It need not even rain in the area for the water to run off the mountains to flood the wash. Weekes Wash takes a dramatic turn and eventually heads south toward Apache Junction. Weekes Wash is a major drainage Wash for the Superstition Mountains.

There will be smaller scale searches this weekend per local news.

Currently there are storms near that area. I hope they have found everything that they want to find because another storm could hinder finding anything else.

I have been following and just wanted to add my 2 cents.

So sorry for Adrienne and her family. My prayers go with them.

When we were able to see the LE report, I started from the beginning. First, I read through it completely, then I started making a timeline.......
I didn't get too far, actually I was working on it the morning it was announced that there was the search and possible remains of Adrienne. I dropped it, but not without finding a few things.
Maybe there's some typos, or just some misunderstanding between the Officer writing the answers and the person giving them, IDK, but this is what I found in the first few pages (I do not count the pages of "Subjects" so if you're following along and want to verify, subtract the # of subject pages and use the first page of Narrative as "Page 1"):

Page 4, Para 2: At apprx. 02:30 hours, Duggan receives call from Arteaga that Adrienne had exited his vehicle on 5th St. and Mill Ave.

Page 4, Para 4: At approx. 02:30 hours, Arteaga called her (Flores) that Adrienne had gotten out of his vehicle at Mill Ave. and 5th st.

Page 5, Para 5: Arteaga called Flores on the phone to notify her that Adrienne was walking towards the apt....... Arteaga showed me his cell phone record with a call placed to Flores at apprx. 03:22 hours.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Page 6, Para 2: ...Adrienne's vehicle was found at Brown St. and Roosevelt...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Page 7, Para 2: I investigated the call for service.....at Rio Salado Pkwy and Ash Ave. in Tempe from 03:44 hours.....

Page 7, Para 2: (Statement by K. Broadbent, witness to accident)
apprx. 03:40 hours KB was traveling Southbound on Hardy Dr. vehicle suddenly enter the roadway behind her......approached Rio Salado Pkwy where she turned eastbound......

Page 8, Para 1:...following vehicle did same...turn at Ash Ave from Rio Salado Pkwy, (description of wreck)

Page 8, Para 2: ....she observed vehicle continue Southbound on Ash Ave. and turn Westbound on 3rd St.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For purposes of the streets mentioned, here is a map with the route identified by K. Broadbent:
wreck.jpg
Hardy does not go Southbound to Rio Salado Pkwy. N. Rio Road turns into Hardy Dr, South of Rio Salado Pkwy.
Westbound on 3rd St from Ash Ave is a dead end.
If Arteaga's phone is right, Adrienne walked away from him on Mill Ave and 5th St. at 03:22 hours.
It is a 15 minute walk from 5th & Mill to Adrienne's apt. (http://www.taxifarefinder.com/ on the left hand side is the time it takes to walk and how many calories you burn, interesting!)
Adrienne had a 22 minute window to walk back to the apt (15 minutes for a healthy person) talk on the grass with roomie, get her stuff in a bag, get her car and get to the wreck site (7 minutes). This includes getting behind K. Broadbent on the North side of Rio Salado Pkwy (N. Rio Road)
How did Adrienne's vehicle get from a dead end on 3rd St. to it's found location at Brown and Roosevelt?
That's where I stopped. I don't have the answers, just repeating statements from the Narrative and noting inconsistencies.
So I guess it's not my opinion.
Bernina, that's a lot like the post I made earlier observing some of those differences, but one thing that I noted that still sticks with me is the fact that Flores said when she was talking to Adrienne outside on the grass when Adrienne returned on foot from getting out of her BF's car, that Adrienne was "calmly upset" and then the police report went on to specifically say, upset but NOT crying.
But then Adrienne went inside, saw that her room was locked because Duggan was in there with Jennings, and so Adrienne sat down to wait for her.
Then Duggan said in the report that when she got downstairs with Jennings, Adrienne got up and immediately went upstairs and she was upset and crying, and a short time later in the report Duggan says that A. and her BF often fought but that Duggan had never seen Adrienne that upset before.
So I just want to know, WHAT HAPPENED to Adrienne while she was sitting and waiting for Duggan to get out of the bedroom that made her go from calmly upset to crying and being more upset than Duggan, a long time friend, had EVER seen her before???
And according to Duggan, she was in the bedroom with her BF until 3:00, but Arteaga still hadn't called, according to his phone until 3:22 that Adreinne had bailed out of his car......... we have 2 roomates who BOTH say apprx 2:30, but a phone that says 3:22.
I thought this was kind of WEIRD: http://www.kpho.com/story/23151764/adrienne-salinas-roommates-stunned-by-body-discovery-in-aj
"Her roommates, who she had been friends with since sixth grade, say the last several weeks have been a nightmare.
"To wake up to something like that, it's just disgusting. It's terrible. It might be your best friend you know?" Duggan said."
So maybe Adrienne wasn't her BFF, but that's just WEIRD.
I wonder if some of those times were clarified later, as the video time was. Initial reports are not always accurate, IMO, while LE is trying to gather info in a hurry. I always felt the video time might be wrong someplace, as they so often are, and sure enough, it was.
The two girls might have differing ways of judging emotions. Also I believe one girl is much closer to A than the other, JMO, if one can tell from SM, i.e a better judge of Adrienne. Look at how different witness statements of same event often are, JMO.
" The death of Adrienne Salinas hasn't officially been classified as a homicide, even though it was labeled as one in some media reports, Tempe police Sgt. Michael Pooley said.
He acknowledged in an interview that police were treating the death as a homicide for investigative purposes, but said the medical examiner hasn't officially determined the cause or manner of death.
Autopsy results could take another week or two, he said.
<snip>
Pooley said Salinas' cellphone hasn't been located."
""Obviously, finding her body out in the wash is a big concern," Pooley tells New Times. "But before we can come out and say it's a homicide, we've got to find out the cause of death."
<snip>
"The entire body was not intact," he says. However, investigators didn't think the shape of the body was necessarily related to the cause of death."
Oh dear...
Cause of death will be tricky to determine, IMO.
And if they cannot verify a sexual assault, motive will be difficult to prove.
Do people think Adrienne was killed the night she vanished or held somewhere and/or brought to a nearby location in relations to where her remains were found. Ugh poor girl, I hope she died quick and didn't suffer anymore that night.
How far is it likely her remains traveled?
i think she was killed that night, even if it was accidental, and everything since has just been a coverup.
The Medical Examiners here are pretty good at identifying trauma and such on remains found out in this environment. With most of our bigger metropolises in the desert areas, most of the bodies they encounter all have features indicative of a desert climate, even the ones found in air conditioned homes. JMO
I'm just trying to stay positive!
Warning...graphic...
They will have had to find the exact right bone(s) in order to determine cause of death, i.e if she was strangled, or shot. Etc...:(
I bet the perp is sweating bullets right now.
Good.....
"Pamela worries whoever killed Adrienne actually knew her."
I think there is something the family suspects........
I feel terrible about Adrienne's family suffering like this, but Rick.........my heart bleeds for him. To stay by his daughter's side during her recovery in the hospital, to know something was terribly wrong that Father's Day, he and Adrienne must have an incredible bond. Their pictures show such joy being together..........man, this sucks.
