Unless the other girl he was paying attention to was still there....

Exactly what I keep going back to! Do we know who this girl was? Is there a possibility this girl was one of the roommates? If it was, an altercation could've occurred when AS was at the bf's house and the rest could've been a cover up between bf and the roommate?

Or

My other thought is a party goer who has been interested in AS witnessed the fighting between she and her bf, saw her come back to the apartment later and thought he could swoop in and be her knight in shining armor. If she rejected him harshly he may have snapped. Or maybe he offered to give her a ride thinking he could use the time alone to convince her to give him a chance? Then snapped?

There are so many possibilities.

One thing that would be interesting to know is if there was a pattern of AS calling her bf multiple times when they were fighting. If it was the only time she had ever done that, the 32 calls would be a lot more suspicious.

Thinking about casinos for some reason...(maybe due to the time frame, reservations, etc).
Going to stop my search on this bc I keep getting linked to virusy sites.

My take is that either the killer is an AJ local - the area is SEVERELY sketch. Like you wouldn't go there unless you lived there or needed meth. Tweaker heaven. Or that he has some reason to be familiar with the remote areas just slightly east of there, like the Canyon lake area another poster is mentioning. A hiker/camper or someone who goes to Payson frequently and passes through there. jmo

Canyon Lake is way too far to be the initial drop. Seriously. There would have been "nothing" if the remains had traveled that distance, nor was the force of the water directly below the lake enough to dislodge or uncover buried remains.
Lost Dutchman's Park, which includes the Superstition Mountains is open 24/7 for campers. I don't think the perp would have wanted to run into a park ranger. "Forest Road" is just a term. There is no "Forest". It's just used by Park, Game and Fish, State Land Trust, and Forest Service to mark roads. No "Forest", just random Saguaros.

Okay, I know I'm over the place here, so please bear with me.

I have seen in other cases where a reference point (in this case, Apache Junction) is directly equivalent to an equal or similar distance in the opposite direction of the center point (in this instance, Tempe).

Therefore, if I follow this line of thinking, this brings me to the Phoenix area (and past). Straight shot west.

Could the perp live in the Phoenix area?

<edit: coming across some cases out of Phoenix, 2 girls young girls strangled in their home; wonder if that's been solved...>

I've been thinking about Skylar all along, too! If my friend since childhood, that I share a room with, is more upset than I have ever seen her... I would MAKE her talk to me and make sure she is ok! But maybe that's just me, and there is a lot of gray area between good friend and psychopathic friend, so it's all just my opinion.

Wow it's like you took the thoughts right out of my mind. This has reminded me of Skylar all along too. I kind of thought it was because she was one of my first cases I followed closely and everything going on in it now had it on my mind. Now that I know I'm not the only one seeing that possibility I'm even more wrapped in it.

In that situation I certainly wouldn't just let it go. "Oh she's more upset than ever, but I guess she'll get over it." It's just unbelievable. I don't care how much I had to drink or what was going on if one of my girls was more upset than I'd ever seen her I would drop everything and focus on nothing else until I knew she was OK. I certainly would never let her leave alone upset like that.

The main thing here that really sticks out is watching a video of AS's dad in the beginning. You can see that real honest emotion there. It's gut wrenching. Then to watch an interview with the friend in comparison just feels like she's going through the motions. Saying what she think's she's supposed to.

Obviously moo. I hope so much that I'm wrong. So very much.

Notable facts about canyon lake/marina:

*** Visitors hiking the Boulder Canyon Trail #103 may park in the designated area of our parking lot on the fence-line by the highway.*******

Can you park in the parking lot and walk into the campground/day use area?
No. Walk-ins are not allowed.

What time is quiet time?
Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am. Please be considerate of your neighbors.

There is a large, swimming-only area for your use. No boats or jet skis are allowed in the swimming-only area. No fishing is allowed in the swimming area. Swimming is not allowed in the marina dock area.

Park hours:
Sunday thru Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm
Friday thru Saturday, 8:30am-6:00pm

Campground?
There is always a campground attendant on duty at the campground booth, or at the Marina and Campground Office. The campground is closed for admittance at 9:30pm without prior reservations. (Only RVs may come in after 9:30pm without reservations)

So I'm thinking they would stay out side of the Marina to dispose of body. Maybe even stop off before the 88 bridge?

Ok, I'm not local, and sorry that I'm all over the place with no direct knowledge of Arizona, but the word bridge---been looking at bridges today in Alexis Murphy's case. MJK discarded Kathlynn Sheperd at a bridge...A bridge would be a good quick drop off point...seen it done before.

What's frustrating is that the water likely washed off all or any trace evidence. :( It's going to be very challenging linking Adrienne's killer...jmo.

Or they complete the geographic circle, where the crime in in the west, so they travel south and then east. Then north, then back west again and end north west.

For example: the blue line I drew represents IMO the drive back from the drop site (around canyon lake).

They would utilize a route opposite of their lodging while having the body in the car and then driven to their lodging place north west of their south east drop spot. I think Scottsdale completes the circle IMHO

Just wondering, any truck stops or rest areas close to the area where Adrienne disappeared (and Apache Junction)?

Bf's turf seems to be Scottsdale. If you live in Scottsdale, you frequent Lake Pleasant, Saguaro Lake, or the Salt River. It a matter of quick access.
If you live in Mesa, you go to Canyon lake, or Lake Pleasant, again, quick access.
Tempe, with all it's close expressways, loops, and freeways gives you more quick access to all 3.

Yes, illustrated nicely, makes this idea clear. Indeed. Circular, versus linear.

And that bridge is right on the edge of the canyon lake park.

I would think if she was just left above ground or even buried in the forest that critters would have came by and messed/scattered the remains within the first week of decomp.

That's just me.

Just wondering, any truck stops or rest areas close to the area where Adrienne disappeared (and Apache Junction)?

no...there's no place commercial to go to out there or from there.

eta: what I mean is, there's not enough significant commercial or tourist traffic to support a rest stop out that way.

  • #797
Does anyone think she was left near goldenfield in dry wash near the residential area?

Just asking. I Want everyone to get a chance to say their theory :)

Mickey S's case was before my time here at WS, but IIRC, a bridge was involved in her case as well? I believe cluciano63 had a close eye on Mickey's case IIRC from other posts?

And Seven Bridges? (is that right? Seven Bridges, because if so, surely this coorelation has been made to MJK and Elizabeth and Lyric...?)

Oh my gosh, my head is spinning...I'm all over the place, lol.

<edit: I just typed "Eric" instead of Lyric....woooops, wonder what I'm thinking about over here, haha>

So it's mainly residents that travel in that area?
