I really appreciated and accepted her explanation, too. If she wasn't buried, then maybe she was alive while missing for a while... I know we all hope that it was quick and soon after! But I have been concerned that she may have been held and used for a while first, I hate to say. If so, then my 2 top theories are #1 gang related/ known by someone who knows her/ forced prostitution or servitude, or #2 sex offender from one of those maps I attached, in the general area.

Just put those out of your mind, "no " on gang related, and "no" on the forced servitude. Trafficking in prostitution and the like is on the Mexican side of the border, as far as Hispanics. It's easy, and the LE down there doesn't care. It would make some sense if she was blonde hair blue eyed, but those type of operations are going to be hunting areas like bus stations and where runaways congregate.
Gang related, would bring too much attention to gang activity, like I said, there are ears to the ground and LE would have been informed.

I can tell you from past experience that a body, just left out in the open, in Mid June, will bloat within mere hours, HOURS, not DAYS. Decomp would begin as the body temp rose, you'd have flies and their eggs within the hour, bees are even attracted. Raptors would be on it within an hour. If a body were put out into the open at, say 6:00 am, by the following morning, you would have some scattered bones (arms, legs, maybe skull) not necessarily picked totally clean, the ribs, spine, hip bones would more than likely be intact, but for the most part, pretty clean.
We have range cattle that drop dead out here, no one picks up the carcasses, we also put some of our dead livestock and poultry out on State Land Trust, call it a gift to the coyotes and a way to keep them a good mile away.
When we go back the next day, the spine, ribs and many times skulls are still connected. With full grown cattle, the hide is extremely tough and the going is real slow.
When you want to keep the skulls of a bull that may have some decent horns or just want to have them to put around your property, you either boil the fresh head in Borax and water outside for about 12 hours (seriously, don't ever try this inside an enclosed area for any critters, the smell is bad), or hang it from a tree or upright at least 4 feet off the ground. The boiled skull will be totally clean and white, the other can take of to 4 months to slough off everything (partly due to blood loss during butchering and the shrinkage of hide, and not accessible to predators).

I just don't see how she could've been dropped and not buried yet still been more than bones two months later. I thought Bernina's various explanations over the past many pages sort of pointed to a general consensus that she had to have been buried until the july 21 flooding eroded the soft, recently dug and backfilled dirt on top of her and caused her to then move and finally truly begin to decompose, causing vultures to come around and lead the property owner to find her legs sticking out from under the bush 17 days later (wasn't it august 6?). I'm thinking the 17 days above ground and waterlogged might be enough time to cause the "severe decomp" that was mentioned in a recent article...

Adrienne was seen by her roommates after her bf dropped her off.
Also, LE may have statements from other witnesses by now.
In fact, I feel sure they have done many more interviews since the report was prepared.
I still feel that a random predator is a likely scenario and also, the most difficult to solve.
Obviously,hoping they have some clues from Adrienne herself, but it seems unlikely.

I agree with sunshine. Forced prostitution actually isn't a far off stretch IMHO. It's become way too popular and is utilized fairly often on US border states.

I don't think it's far off to think that if a gang or guys involved in this sort of disgusting scheme could be involved in gangs just for this simple reason:

Drugs are a gateway to the gang world. Especially on that Border Rd that is Hardy. It is where the tough kids from Phoenix integrate with the Tempe college crowd. I don't know how many more times I have to bring up having a friend shot in the face right on Hardy Dr bc a childhood friend wanted to steal some of his pot dealing money. This kid was more "ghetto" than my friend. This kid definitely hung out with unsavory characters in the game, gang related, although he was a hippie dippy skater.

Gangs have found much success in prostituting girls. Some are abducted forcefully, others get into it due to a bad home life. I remember walking around a suburban atlanta mall as a 13 year old and having guys in gangs/pimps ask me if "they could take care of me if I worked for them... So pretty... Etc etc bs bs bs"

I don't think sunshine has a completely far off idea here IMHO

Furthermore, imo don't think anyone has the right to tell Sunshine that her theories are 100% impossible.

We don't know if Adrienne might have been held after June 15. There's nothing to indicate that is 100% impossible.

Police reports are handwritten. Then they are submitted to the lead investigative Sargeant and he decides what is appropriate to put on it. He can do whatever he needs with that police report. Omit, change, add. Whatever he needs to do for His investigation.

He can also redact, which is when you black out certain info so as to protect certain suspects/victims/witnesses/investigative info.

It's not as if a report is written and then copied word for word and sent out to us. It's a much more involved process.

Btw it is completely illegal for Police to withhold any police report in its entirety. You ask public relations at the station for the report. If they refuse, you go to the supreme court in your city/state and file a complaint that you are not being given the full report.

It happens often. You have to know the tricks.

I think LE probably has investigative supplements and witness statements that are constantly on-going. You would have to get a new report every few days, to have all the info, IMO, if they would even release it in an active murder case.

Dang... wish someone would come tell that to the gang members and prostitutes not too far from me, in Northern CA. They apparently didn't get the memo. Maybe Arizona has less of them?

ETA: I still feel my area's relatively safe, but I could also go find a gang member or prostitute in under 10 minutes. I think I'd have to move to another state and still hope for the best for that not to be the case.

Hey, SUNSHINE! If you believe I totally dismissed your ideas and you took offense, I APOLOGIZE.
If anything, I was trying to put your mind at ease that those particular possibilities are not common and usually NOT looked into unless someone is an illegal alien or in a gang in ARIZONA.
I have lived in Az all but 18 months of a total of over 52. My 1st Ex husband is a member of the old Mexican Mafia and Nuestra Famillia along with association of the Hell's Angels and Vagos. He was involved in ALL areas of those associations, narcotics, human trafficking/smuggling, boosting, kite flying, et al.
My bro in Law is retired San Jose, Cal LE. I have 2 good friends who work Border Patrol in Arizona, and several more who work MCSO, YCSO, PCSD, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Prescott, and chino Valley PD.

IMO, the fact she was found dead and LE is still looking for her clothing suggests to me that she was taken, used, and thrown away when the intended use was complete.

I cannot personally believe she was kidnapped for sex trafficking but then something went wrong so they killed her and stripped her and dumped her instead, for example.

I think the way she was found answers why she was taken, what we really need to know is who took her.

This is an RSO-type crime, IMO.

Maybe what went wrong was that the people holding her found out LE was looking for her and decided to get rid of her in fear of getting busted in charges of abduction and forced prostitution (or sex in case of RSO).

Oh gosh I hope I didn't make you feel bad. I know you're knowledgeable! I just wish you could impart your knowledge on the <bleep> gangsters and such around here (Northern CA), because they sure as heck didn't stay in Mexico. I'm sure you know way more about AZ than I do though. I don't know if gangs were involved in what happened with Adrienne, but they are so scary. I sincerely hope not but it also wouldn't surprise me.

All my stats appeared to be illrelevant as there really isn't human trafficking. And those 105 kids I brought up that were recovered in the nationwide FBI sting didn't count because most of them were throw away kids, who were probably given away by their foster parents. So I get nervous when we start taking about th merits of human trafficking.
