This one seems pretty impossible to solve unless there is a victim nearby missing his/her skull. The dentals are available in Namus but they don't seem that helpful to me, s/he had lost all but four of her teeth postmortem and the remaining four were lost while still alive (upper 1,2,15,16). It rules out some people who are known to have lost more teeth or different teeth while alive but missing persons with all their teeth intact could have had teeth removed after last known contact.

I think they could have attempted some more reconstructions with different hairstyles and maybe a mustache or something if it could be either sex.

According to the NamUs profile and the composite sketch, they've since determined these are the remains of a male. The Doe Network still has the decedent's sex listed as female. What a mush of confusion for this poor victim! How does the DNA get the sex wrong and does that happen often?

There are a number of possibilities for ambiguity in the DNA. Chimerism, contamination by another person's DNA (possible if the material wasn't handled carefully), an intersex condition, probably other things since I'm not exactly an expert. Weird though.
