http://www.kvoa.com/story/34150656/several-sets-of-human-remains-found-near-the-town-of-ajo

"The remains of five different people were found over the span of fives days near the town of Ajo, Ariz.

Humanitarian workers from No More Deaths and Ajo Samaritans found the skeletal remains in the Hat Mountain and Growler Valley area.

The group said that the area where the remains were found is part of a remote and deadly migration corridor.

For people traveling through, officials said that finding help can be partially or completely restricted in some areas."

how sad. If they had been all together I would suspect cartel activity but scattered like that it is probably migrants from Mexico

The article in the OP is not working for me, but I found a couple of articles from that time that still work:

There are two UIDs in NamUs that were found in Dec. 2016 near Ajo that I think are among the 5 sets found in the Growler Valley by the humanitarian-aid workers.
