has this trial already happened, as it says 4 months ago on my stream

  • #802
I can't find a verdict but seems trial may have started in later 2025, I am confused,

  • #803
Is the trial still ongoing? From openings defense went with SODDI, the odd guy,

  • #804
opening is a lot about other people who were investigated, but not a lot about defendant

  • #805
Having been back through thread I see trial is ongoing, I will watch it from openings, defense did not address defendants DNA found in 4 samples from crime scene, especially on doors, but blame it all on JC whose DNA was not found in crime scene,

  • #806
seems it began on November 12 2025, so has it been ongoing for over 4 months already

And is slated to last until May. It's insane!

I was confused too, so they have only sat for 42 days over 3-4 months, is is ongoing at present, I am catching up from the start, the defense is very ballsy, considering the DNA found at the scene matching to him, even though he admitted to not knowing her or ever being in her own,

the pharmacist must be horrified at being accused of murder, publicly in open court, but I will watch whole trial as stranger things have happened and who knows what evidence the defense may provide about his involvement, his lack of DNA in the scene compared to defendants being present will be a big hill to climb, plus the hill to climb to get over defendants DNA being present seems insurmountable

on day 4/5 listening to ME, she put up one hell of a fight, and she nearly got away, she got into the garden and was obviously trying to get out the gate into the alley and away, it was an horrific attack she was strangled, her head battered possibly onto the pool area outside, her chest was pressed on possibly whilst being strangled,

and the sexual assault was awful, this is one of the most disturbing crimes I have read about in a while

the door testimony is so speedy I can't keep up, they are whizzing through the door opening and closing times

Defense is laser focused on all the places LE and crime scene techs touched in the home, especially on door handles from which some of his DNA was found, I am very pleased to hear that crime scene techs all wore full protective clothing and could explain when and where they changed gloves, they also explained that they didn't touch the blood or objects from which they took swabs for later DNA analysis as they used long q tips to swab sample thus they didn't touch sample, they also explained very carefully how the wet samples were placed into the drying room at the lab and how secure lab was with restricted access, this will be very important later on as the defense somehow has to explain how his DNA was found at crime scene without him being there ever, and contamination, his DNA was out in the wild and somehow migrated to her home, his DNA had to be special as so far his is the only unknown male DNA found in her home, so all the other male DNA out in the wild bypassed her home, (could be some explanations),

we shall see what the defense argues as the case continues,

They also whizzed through all the photos from crime scene, the juries heads must be spinning,

the scene was documented very carefully over 4 days, I am up to the crime scene photographer talking about photos from the alley of footwear impressions behind AF home

  • #817
am only on day 6 so have many days to catch up on

  • #818
state is ensuring all DNA collecting from scene is explained thoroughly to jury, and is making sure that the defense has very few avenues to allege contamination, so they are just going over what happens when swabbing for DNA if a swab breaks, and the CSS has just explained that if the swab breaks it does not affect the integrity of what was collected on the swab, and they did not just throw away the broken piece of swab, they keep the broken piece and package it up and send it to the lab,

  • #819
of the photos shown on camera there is a lot of blood in scene,

  • #820
really thorough processing of scene, all light switches swabbed, something often missed in many crime scenes
