Thank you to all of you for the updates as the case and trial went along.I watched this case since it happened, 11 years is a long time to get justice. But it finally came! Harley stated in the above video that it does not bring her back so they already have a life sentence. So incredibly sad. Mitchell is a cruel and evil being, no doubt he deserves what is coming. Allison fought so hard and what she went thru is unthinkable, so disturbing and so heinous.
Watching Harley speak and Allison's best friend was emotional. Her family is so strong and he said his purpose now is to help people who share in similar tragedies. He has been inspirational throughout. Allison RIP

so from the article posted above:

The jury decides on aggravating factors after a verdict during the aggravation phase of a trial.

If aggravating factors are found by the jury, the trial then moves to the penalty phase. During the penalty phase, the jury decides if the convicted will get a life sentence or the death penalty.

The penalty phase for the Mitcham trial begins on Monday, April 20.

From what I am understanding that the jury is now deciding aggravating factors of either life or DP. Once they decide the penalty phase will begin on 4/20/26
OR - it is NOT going on right now, but will be back on 4/20????

What do you think @joe jones ?? :)

yes, I would like to know what aggravating facts they could consider, and what the jury agreed on, I am surprised by how little coverage the trial is now getting, very few reports from inside court ,@Niner always hunts down the few snippets there are

Yes, few reports coming out.... darn!! I have followed this for quite sometime now - and would like to see the outcome! And their court site isn't much help....

I am going to go with penalty phase starts Monday - and the last 2 days were Aggravating Factor hearings! :D
