Basing my thought on

- Apparently, Allison opened her door to the person who killed her

- The brutality of her killing

- The lame attempt to clean up with bleach

- The remorse indicated by Allison's head having been covered afterward

I speculate that the perpetrator may be a neighborhood teenager whom she knew tangentially, or at least recognized. I think he had likely been observing her and fantasizing about her for awhile. When he went to her to fulfill his fantasy her reaction was not what he anticipated and he was enraged.

Also, I think his parents probably have a creepy feeling. I wouldn't be surprised to learn they have already retained counsel..

BBM.
Ten-96, you may well be on to something here, IMO.

Wonder about about those she came in contact with and/or worked with; now that you mention she was a burn/trauma specialist...

Scottsdale tops '14 murder total in less than 2 months
February 26, 2015

...There were two homicides last year in Scottsdale, Hoster said. That was the lowest homicide total since 2002, according to an FBI Unified Crime Report data analysis posted on the Scottsdale Police Department website.

Scottsdale's 2009 total of 10 homicides was the city's highest in the past decade, according to the analysis.

Murders are crimes of passion or opportunity and when they occur depends on the person who commits them, Hoster said."

..."We're going to let the evidence dictate where we go with the Feldman case and we're going to work it until we solve it," Hoster said.

Not sure I know what you're thinking! Could the white "substance" be a type of drug injected into a trauma/burn patient by one or more of the medical devices she sells? JMO.

Sorry for all that, I was thinking the perp burned her with the white substance and/or bleach...while that may be so, IMHO NOW I suspect the intent was probably more to destroy evidence.

Initially, I was not making any connection at all to her position. However, once I noticed her specialty is/was burn trauma :lightbulb: I realized THAT is why her obituary requested instead of flowers, donations be made to the Burn Victim Organization.

That's a great point surfing. Some guy coming to install security knowing that this nice looking female live there alone sounds like an invitation. same goes for landscapers pool guys... Knowing that she's there by herself she's like a sitting duck.

Sure would like to know if she had contacted any companies and was in the process of interviewing any handymen, landscapers...

Do you think it's possible the white substance was an oxygen bleach used in an attempt to destroy the DNA?

Oh I'm sorry. I see now that you clarified you did see this as a possibility. I wonder if this is why it could be taking so long to make an arrest if they do have a suspect. The murderer could have damaged the DNA to the point it may be difficult if not impossible to identify. Let's hope not!

Hey MissD (don`t be sorry...)

Anything is possible atm, reports have used the word white substance and also bleach. It could be two different things or one in the same...tho `I think` lol I am thinking one in the same ;)

:dunno:

Regardless, do you think the perp found (whatever) `it` (is) in her home or brought `it` with them?

ETA: I suppose the answer to that is really going to depend on what exactly `it` is...

That's such a good question! I'm thinking since LE insists it's isolated and not random and that she was targeted, that this may have been premeditated to the point of perp bringing it with him/her. If so, this would point to someone who might have knowledge about DNA and how to destroy it. Who do you think would fall into that category?

Someone with an interest in Investigative Discovery channel...lol. Seriously, I have no clue. What about you?

And where are my manners? :blushing: I should have already said :welcome6: to WS MissD.

I had a feeling you weren`t a random dropping by...well I`m sorry for what brings you but I`m glad you joined us.

Hopefully the answers come quickly, but chances are it may take some time.

Regardless, pull up a seat, you`re in good company here.

LE calls this a "high profile" case. And they say that's why they aren't releasing any more details. Why do you think this is considered high profile? Could it be the person they wanted to monitor is well known? Perhaps a prominent citizen?

I was at the community meeting and came away more confused than when I got there.

About the bleach, sometimes when I am using it in my pool, and I spill a lot, it will dry to appear like a white powder on the concrete deck.
