About the bleach, sometimes when I am using it in my pool, and I spill a lot, it will dry to appear like a white powder on the concrete deck.

That's good information! I think we can all safely assume it was some form of bleach used by the perp to either destroy evidence or clean up. And I doubt the latter. I also don't think she just fell into a hallway of bleach naked with a cloth wrapped around her head. So again I think we can assume the perp did put it there, whatever kind it happened to be.

Btw....interesting terminology LE has used: substance, copious, cloth, elements.....

  • #202
It was reported in court docs that she was found naked with a "cloth" around her head. But nowhere does it state (at least not for our eyes) what kind of cloth. Was it a sheet? A towel? A tablecloth? A dish towel? A blindfold? A gag?

Why do they say only a cloth, thus leaving us to conjure up all sorts of visions? If we knew, would that somehow jeopardize the investigation?

  • #203
Just mulling around that his might NOT be personal.
There's head trauma; if someone is trying to clean up, wrapping the head with a towel or whatever, would help minimize the mess.

Man, this sounds so awful typing it, :gaah:

Maybe the perp was startled and fled before they could finish what the were doing?
There's many compounds that are in dry form used in swimming pools, including "dry chlorine", and "granulated Shock", the dry equivalent to liquid "Shock It", the stuff you use when your pool gets so green you just put gallons of the stuff into it. It's caustic enough even when added to the pool that it takes off some of the plaster on the walls of the pool. (It's recommended that your water level be up mid tile so the plaster evenly sloughs off or you get subtle lines in it, and there's so many hours that you CAN'T swim in it until it neutralizes)

What if the intentions where to stick the body in the tub and put the chemicals over it?
What if she had just finished taking a shower when she was "surprised" or answered the door in a robe?

Too many questions that only the LE report would have........

Added: Clorox 2 is a dry laundry bleach, maybe the perp was using what AF had in her laundry room? Was this a rape gone terribly bad?

Hi Bernina!

Interesting......well if it wasn't personal LE sure was trying to put one over on all the residents and neighbors who went to that community meeting I also attended.

That kind of reminds me of the movie Jaws, where they didn't close the beach because it was 4th of July. and they knew a shark was out there.

Nooo, they wouldn't do that. I really do believe LE somehow knows this is personal and isolated because that's what they said at the meeting and I really do believe them.

I am of the opinion (IMHO) that this was highly personal. LE would not, however, answer the question of if she had been sexually assaulted.

But draw your own conclusion.... If it's isolated and personal and not random then wouldn't you think it was someone she knew and probably knew very well?

But there has to be something they are not telling us about how she died that might reveal who the killer was.

Because we asked them repeatedly to tell us what the COD was and they refused.

And yet.......they are still asking for tips from the public.

Looking up pool chlorine on the web - is comes in dry form... she was looking for handyman, (does she have a pool?).

When I lived just about a mile from there down in the late 1980's, damn skippy I'd want some answers!!!!

I think the biggest deal is it's Scottsdale. Things like that are an anomaly. Just over a month ago, the MSM tweets for the Arias trial had a few on a murder/suicide that happened just right around the corner where I grew up on 68th street and Chaparral. Between all the traffic, the standard of living, and everything else Scottsdale, I'm just glad I moved up North.

That's NOT the Scottsdale I grew up in.

Seriously concerned about Scottsdale PD's "random" and "isolated".........you guys must really be spitting nails right now!

BBM above & YES she sure does/did OldSteve:

I've seen that alley , running along the back fence, being shown in a lot of videos too and have been wondering if the perp may have used that at some point instead of the front entrance.

Google Map aerial view of Allison's home and alley.

:gthanks: enzeder - using the great ariel view you gave us sure beats (google) walking the street (which I was & I'm winded...) :hot:

1:20 mark - outside of the meeting...
Q by Reporter: Should the public be worried:
A by Sgt. Ben Hoster: The public should always be worried as just a general safety awareness um but in this incident we don't have a history of these things happening in South East Scottsdale the trends don't match up so um were our detectives are reviewing all the tips that we have ah we haven't given up on this case, we are still actively working behind the scenes.

FWIW.

Regardless, I feel for you locals, not a good vibe for the community at all. May the answers come quickly!

:justice: for Allison Feldman, her family & loved ones!!!

Not that important but I wonder if the 'bleach' and 'white powder' are both one in the same, like OxyClean?

<snipped>

(MissD has me thinking about what makes this murder `high profile` -- maybe it`s the result of a `targeted not random` act...just guessing, there must be more to it than that...)

Longtime residents here in Scottsdale say they can't recall a murder case ever being handled this way. Neighbors are very upset over not being told the COD or if there was sexual assault. Most folks think this is info they have a right to know to protect themselves and their children.
When I asked my boyfriend this morning why he felt LE was calling this high profile, he told me in his opinion the suspect is high profile. He's lived here 40 years and he's convinced that the only reason they would call it high profile is because the suspect is someone well known in the community.

I kind of see where you are coming from with the targeted vs random, but I'm still not thinking that would put it in a high profile category.

Allison was a young and beautiful girl saleswoman. Scottsdale is full of beautiful young women. Adrienne Salinas was young and beautiful and I don't recall Her case ever being called high profile. Speaking of which, Adrienne only lived 5 miles from Allison. The night she went missing she had been reported to have been visiting her boyfriend whose apartment was only about a mile from Allisons. A lot happened that night with Adrienne and I'm not really trying to tie these two crimes together but if you live in this area it's nearly impossible to not wonder about them. Especially since Adriennes murder has never been solved.

I can tell you this community is on edge. People got up and walked out of that meeting, angry and frustrated with LE over the lack of info. Parents who expressed concerns over the safety of their children were not satisfied with LE assuring them they didn't need to worry while at the same time not providing more information about the crime.

I don't see how LE can say it's isolated and personal and she was targeted unless they have a good idea of who did it and why. But if there are no fingerprints or DNA matches or other kind of direct evidence what can they do?

Sorry for rambling....it's just so bizarre.

To sum up my frustration:

How could the public knowing the COD or if she was sexually assaulted jeopardize the investigation? The killer knows what they did. And so the killer knows LE knows what they did. Informing the public wouldn't tip off the killer because the killer knows.

What could possibly have happened that is so unique or sensational or horrible that LE refuses to tell us?

There are terrible, horrible, unspeakable things in the news everyday. What makes this case different? Does anyone here have any ideas?

I don't get it. :(

PS....I really do want everyone to know how much I appreciate your interest and input in this case. Especially those of you living out of the area. I'm really hoping that the more you know and learn the closer you can get to helping solve this horrible crime. I will share everything I know with you that doesn't violate TOS. There's such a fine line.

I doubt the suspect is "high profile" Imo. To me that means a case is getting a lot of media attention and has the community up in arms. (I.e not a gang murder, family fight, etc.) I think "targeted" and "isolated" means the killer meant to kill Allison specifically, and not anyone else. Therefore not a danger to the public at large. I do think they have a suspect and that it is someone known to her. Jmo

One more thing, if you will permit so many comments.

I am literally sick over what happened to this beautiful, young, amazing woman with her entire life ahead of her. My heart is so heavy knowing how her friends and family must be grieving. This crime just has to be solved and this killer brought to justice. It just can't wind up being one of those unsolved mysteries or cold cases.

Any information at all is so important...no matter how insignificant it may seem.

Okay, that's all for now.

I'm surprised this isn't getting more national media attention, or any ... I don't know, I'm only aware of it from coming here.

"High Profile" usually means that it's on the top of Scottsdale PD's "to do" list. I hate to say this but it's all about the "image" of Scottsdale. I still have a friend who was in the "Fraud Division" (Real Estate if you can believe that) that got him transferred from the Downtown SPD to the North SPD. He was doing desk jockey work til his retirement kicks in.
When I first met him he was handling burglaries. He said it was always about the "image". Make sure the residents feel safe which makes the realtors happy. Make the businesses feel safe so the high rollers keep coming. So, "image" boils down to the "continual cash flow" that has given Scottsdale the moniker of "Snobsdale". (I was born there so I've heard the worst, lol.)

I hope SPD burning the midnight oil on this case, because their community get together would have left me pretty unsettled. Makes you wonder if small arms and security system sales have gone up?

Me too, but I think the SPD has everyone afraid to report anything at this point after the leak. They were furious with the networks.
