Yes,to what was said in the above posts. I really thought by now there would have been an arrest. It does trouble me that after all this time LE hasn't officially cleared her BF.

During the last community meeting they emphasized a couple of times that they had physical evidence that would conclusively identify - or rule out - any suspect as the perpetrator. They didn't say what evidence for some reason, but the obvious assumption is dna.

I don't remember now if they talked about the boyfriend specifically during the meeting, but to me that statement says they ruled him out. Sure they may have lots of evidence still to go through, and dna sometimes takes time, but it's been a month now and they would have made sure his test was on the top of the stack. The meeting came across as if they really have no clue who it is, and I think if they had any inclination it was the boyfriend they would have waited on the test results before holding that second meeting.

If you go up thread, I linked a DNA resource that explains the process and how much time it takes: 60 hours. Adrianne Salinas of Tempe was identified by DNA "Publicly" in 4 days using DPS.

LE can ask individuals to come in and give DNA for the process of elimination. It was done in the Arias case in Mesa.

I honestly don't know what to think anymore. The news reports have me totally confused. Even things LE and other reliable sources have previously stated are now being recanted. I'm thinking now it could be true they have no suspects.

It bothers me to no end for them to say it's not random, it's targeted, it's isolated, and then say AF may or may not have known her attacker.

The other thing is was she sexually assaulted. I see no reason they can't tell us this. How could that possibly jeopardize the investigation?

The assailant knows what they did.

Why keep this so hush hush?

Reached a stalemate in this case... see this in some cases where LE doesn't say much, and the media isn't there or allowed to question and get details we like to go over here on WS.
As much as we may like to, its against tos for us to sleuth anyone not names a POI, such as her boyfriend, family, ex's...

I imagine if LE does have a POI or two they will be watching the people that attend her memorial service. Such a sad story.

Considering they are saying they are looking for someone with cuts etc. from fight - that makes it easy to rule out anyone who might have actually done the murder. Would not, of course rule out someone who hired another to do it... considering items taken do not make sense and seem to be staged - it's a possibility.
Considering she fought her attacker, should have DNA under nails... and should be other things found in the 4 days of searching the house... so surprised they say the bracelet will help solve case... would think forensics found inside home, surveillance, would be better.. bracelet makes sense if a serial killer did it and took it as a trophy - but do not see this as that kind of case...
ETA - normal not rule out anyone till case is solved.

Maybe Allison had marks on her arm to show the bracelet was forcibly removed? And maybe damaged and will likely have DNA and/or blood?

As far as POI's...LE can ask for DNA swabs but they can't force it without other evidence. They may have their eye on a person but not enough to subpoena a sample. I hope they have a solid POI...

The video says "evidence left at scene" so I don't think the neighbor's video fits that IMO, but maybe they thought the person looked male too .

Im surprised the BF hasn't been ruled out. If he called 911 to report finding her, I would imagine if he had wounds, cuts and or scratches they would possibly be visible to the responding officers who probably met with him on the scene.

Yes that's true. I still think it's interesting that the BF hasn't spoken to the media yet. I wonder if he was at her memorial service today. Or if he's still in Shanghai.
