Thanks TB, that answers my question on the DNA. Odd they haven't cleared him IF it's not his DNA... wouldn't that mean it had to be a hit or something? At any rate, I find the crime scene odd. Most burglars don't do all these other things... murder, bleach and white powder, cover face, nude body, etc.

There's a difference in just what type of burglar did this.
Think like a criminal.

Daytime burglary: Burglar is counting on no one being home, house may have been watched or just a random opportunity, knocking on the door and no one answers. Burglar wouldn't carry a weapon because the charge if caught would be enhanced, and they could always go for the reduced sentence of "criminal trespass"....it happens ALL THE TIME. The biggest fear a daytime burglar has is someone in the house with a gun.

Nighttime burglary: Burglar assumes there is an occupant(s) unless they are aware that the occupant is out of town. Home owners are robbed while they're sleeping and some don't realize it for days. The expectation by LE of of weapon is SOP. These burglars are far more dangerous because they expect the home is occupied.

Here's a few questions:
What kind of security system did she have and what type of monitoring by the security company was involved?
Was the activation, de-activation registered at their center?
Could the system be controlled by AF's phone? (is this why her phone was taken, to activate the system? Was her pin "saved" so it automatically went through when it was activated/deactivated?)
Is LE's certainty of 1:05 am as the time the perp left because of monitoring by the security company? Or are they basing it on the video shots from the neighbor?

The credit cards: Where do almost all people keep their credit cards? In their wallet. What else is in your wallet? CASH. And where do most "single" people leave there wallets/purses? At an entry way, or on the kitchen counter with their keys. So some guys leave it in their pants or throw it on their dresser. What burglar is going to pass on taking a wallet? Why bother sorting through the whole thing, just take it and sort it out later, dump what you don't want in the trash, the canal, or burn them.

The T & C bracelet: It's now evident that several pieces of jewelry was taken. Did the perp just find AF's jewelry box and dump the contents in a back pack? Take it all and sort it out later, again, ditch the stuff that's costume jewelry, keep the gold and silver, stones have no real value unless the burglar has a fence who will buy them. Most of your valuable diamonds have laser id's put on them. And if you want to know the truth, MANY jewelers mix CZ's and diamonds together and sell them as a "total diamond" piece.
The bracelet was probably the only piece of jewelry that *might* be easily identified by a serial #.

Was AF asleep when a noise woke her up? Did she grab her phone, just in case, and ran into the perp in the hallway? Most people have their phone on the night stand when they go to sleep.

Was she killed because she switched on the hallway light and saw his face? Or did she grab a ski mask he might have been wearing and pull it off?

After the fight, did the perp pick the phone up just to see if she had someone on the other end? Did it possibly have his DNA on it from trying to take it away from her? The perp wasn't going to take any chances and shoved it in his pocket.

Why did the perp attempt a "clean up"? Because he's been doing burglaries for a while, never been caught, and his DNA is NOT in any data base. Obviously he was injured in the fight. The perp is going to be in major "holy ****" mode. Just maybe that WAS his cleanup. The cloth around the head slowed down the bleeding and he may have put bleach on her hands to deteriorate any DNA under her nails. I doubt he was walking back and forth over a blood pool, that takes time and lividity, specially when the heart has stopped pumping. The blood pool had at least 15 hours to form before she was found.

Was her security system even on?

I can't think this was anything more than a cat burglar who was caught and found himself in a knock out, drag out that he wasn't prepared for.

Oh I'm sorry Dee. I should have bolded it when I posted it. Here it is again. Big and bold! :

I am sorry. I still don't get it. Are you saying that she didn't have injuries on her arms or hands, and that is what the media misreported? What I'm questioning is what they are reporting that is misleading? Thanks again.

Yes, I'm saying this report states that it was ALLISON who had the injuries on her arms or hands, when in fact LE has released info stating that her ATTACKER might have had scratches on his arms and hands from Allison. See the official release on the ScottsdaleAZ.gov site:

<snipped>

This subject may not always be violent, but could become violent when confronted. He likely suffered minor cuts or injuries to his hands or arms struggling with Allison.

I know...easy to miss. But the devil is in the details. The media outlets are getting things twisted around to the point we barely know what's true and what's not true. That was my point.

No, it's doubtful she would open her door to a stranger late at night, anywhere in Scottsdale.

However, that's not correct about Alex leaving at 1:00 am. That was a video of the perp caught on the surveillance cam leaving at that time. Problem with the video is they can't make a positive ID from it. Only a shape.

There has been no report of what time Alex left her home on Tuesday. But her sister said Allison kicked him out and told him to go home and study and have some quiet time.

Interesting thing to say to a grown man.

BBM - I was just watching a Fox video, at link below, and they zoomed in on a neighbor's security camera. It looks to me like it was facing Allison's driveway. I wonder if it was this particular camera that captured the killer when he was leaving?.

I think it was that camera, Enzeder. But I can drive by there today and take a look to see if there are any others.

I'll take some photos when I do so you all can make your own conclusions.

According to SPD, the quality of the video was so poor that they could only make out a 'shape' leaving the house. Not good enough to make any kind of identification. I still wish we could see the video. And hear the 911 call. Among the other things I wish....

Bernina, I really do want to thank you for going into all that detail on your theory that it was a cat burglar who murdered Allison.

While I don't necessarily agree with you I do think you did a great job of outlining and presenting your theory and reasoning behind it.

Thanks for your post.

All theories are possibilities.

I do think SPD might have a subject in mind. At least I hope they do! And hopefully we will soon know.

PS: Have you ever considered becoming a mystery writer? You have awesome writing talents!

:)

OT: I wish 'certain people' would clear their inboxes.

*hint* *hint*

Thanks MissD - I appreciate it.

BBM - I wish they'd release the video too. I wonder why they not doing so?. Even though they can't ID the person there could be someone out there who recognize's the killer's physique, his walk... etc.?.

:sigh:

Quote from the article, "The court documents also report that Feldman’s boyfriend, Alex Sukhodolov, discovered her in her home in Scottsdale, AZ on Wednesday, February 18, calling the police at 4:02 p.m. 30 seconds after that call, he called the police again stating that there was “blood everywhere.”

He informed them that "he didn't touch" her and "didn't do anything."

...Since her death more than a month ago, details have been scarce. Local police reported in mid-March that they are still sifting through evidence and have worked to allay fears that the killing could be the work of a mass murderer. "We don't believe that there is a person on the loose that is hitting every third home," Sgt. Ben Hoster of the Scottsdale Police Department was quoted as saying in AZCentral.com.

BBM above.
It doesn't really sound like a cat burglar to me :moo: :cow:

Perception is always interesting tho.

I don't know why but they're gonna need a bigger hat soon. ;)

My big brother taught me this when I was little:

------------------

One dark, moonlit night
Two dead boys came out to fight
Back to back they faced each other
Drew their swords and shot each other
A deaf policeman heard the noise
And came and killed the two dead boys.

This is pretty much how I feel the news has been presented to us.

BBM - Another thing MissD.... If you are able to do a drive by sometime it would be interesting to know if there are any street lights close to Allison's house because if there are there should have been a clear view of the perp leaving if that particular surveillance camera mentioned in my above post is the one which captured him. imo

I will drive over there tonight to see how 'lit up' it is at night. Remember, there was a new moon that night, which means it was super dark. That's probably why the cam could pick up Alex on it in the daytime but could only get a basic shape of someone the night the perp left at 1:05 a.m.

Also, we have a dark sky ordinance here in AZ. I have mentioned it here before but with all the posts you may not have seen it. That means some neighborhoods are darker than others.

It's fairly dark where she lives. But I'll take some pics tonight and post them for you.

:)

MissD, I wish I lived in Scottsdale. I would drive over to her house with you. LOL

That did give me a lot of peace of mind.
