I've been telling you to move here. Or at least be a snow birdie!

Don't think the thought has crossed my mind.

She is beautiful in this photo. She looks so unknowing (vulnerable) If I had been her parent, I would have strongly advised her not to buy a home and would have come right now and told her, it is not safe.

She does look so beautiful. It's so heartbreaking. I don't live in SD,but I believe it's relatively a safe area. If this was someone known to her it could have happened anywhere. JMO

ADMIN NOTE: Any further mention of a child will result in an instant and lengthy time out. No questions asked.

FIRST AND FINAL WARNING!

I think we'll have to wait and see.

This is a random thought but how long will the house will sit empty? I'm assuming LE is finished with it. Can you imagine moving into a home where something like this happened? I would think it would be difficult to sell.

I was thinking of that earlier. I don't know if she has a will. If it went to her parents, then I assume they might try to sell it. Otherwise, I guess it will go into foreclosure. This is so sad. She just had it remodeled. I agree, I would not want to live in a house where someone was murdered. Such a tragic story. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I think the killer is reading our posts.

And I would like for him to know my feelings. First, I don't think this person intended to murder Allison. I truly do believe this was a crime of passion. No random perp, burglar or neighbor person would have this kind of rage and anger for such a beautiful, sweet, vulnerable and kind woman.

Only someone who had deep feelings for her, as strange as it may sound, could have become so enraged that whatever happened between the two of them escalated to such an emotional and intense feeling that the person was most probably, literally out of his mind when it happened and then....filled with unbelievable and incredible remorse afterward.

I hope he knows that no matter how hard he tries he will always be haunted by this and there is no place he can hide. He will eventually be caught.

The best thing he could do, for himself and for her family and for her, would be to turn himself in and confess.

If he doesn't do this and he's caught, which he will be eventually, there is no doubt, I don't believe there is a jury anywhere that won't give him the death penalty for what he did.

But if he is remorseful enough to understand the horrible thing he did and is willing to confess to this terrible crime then perhaps a jury or judge might be more lenient.

If he is reading this I am appealing to him to turn himself in now. After all, he did take the life of one of God's most precious children.

Beautiful, lovely, kind, sweet and irreplaceable .........Allison Feldman.

I'm so very sad. If you are the killer and you are reading this....please turn yourself in.

The Lender holds the title for the house, they may work with the family if AF doubled up on her mortgage payments, but usually the lender has rights to the house because a co-payor/co-owner wasn't listed on the deed.

Thank for this information, Bernina. I'm not well informed with this.

If I lived in that neighborhood, I'd be wanting answers. If this happened back in 1985-1989, I was living with my 2 kids alone maybe a mile and 1/2 from that area, and I would have been calling the people I knew at SPD, including a 911 dispatcher who lived 2 houses down from me.
SPD REALLY hasn't given the community anything to make them feel "safe". JMO.

Coming out of the woodwork on this thread. I've been reading from the beginning.

If she had a beneficiary deed she could have named someone, correct?

Yes, but, unless she paid cash for the house and owned it outright, the bank ultimately still owns the property. They are not going to give supposed beneficiary the house for free. They would need to assume the loan at that point.

It's not like she lived on skid row, her neighborhood was a very decent one. She was 31, a grown adult, lots of single adult women own homes and live independently, and safely.

Ya know...I just had a thought. Tell me what you think of this:

LE has released a statement saying the killer might have had scratches on his hands and arms.

How do they know this? I mean, how do they know the scratches were on his 'hands' and 'arms'. How can they be sure they didn't come from somewhere else on his body?

That thought never occurred to me until just this moment. Does anyone have the answer for this? I don't know a lot about forensics.

Well, Luv, this is very much dejavous, as it seems we've had this conversation once before here and not so long ago. You and I most definitely felt it had relevance. The unusual coincidences of the recording of deeds of trust, autions, etc. all around the time of her death. Remember?

The Lender holds the title for the house, they may work with the family if AF doubled up on her mortgage payments, but usually the lender has rights to the house because a co-payor/co-owner wasn't listed on the deed.

You saw the recorded document yourself, Bernina. That doc was recorded while the body was still warm. (Forgive me...) Not to mention the recorded document about the auction of her condo she had lived in before but still owned. My head is spinning here. Again.

The lender was the beneficiary, menmo. We saw the recorded document. Recorded only two days after her death.

Armchair, did you know that Allison was reported to have told friends she was really surprised that she got the loan on that house. She didn't think she was going to get it. She already had one house she was under water in. Isn't it strange that she's murdered less than a year later and the lender or whoever files a deed of trust on it TWO DAYS after her death or was it before? I need to look that up again.

The odds? Anyone?

My uneducated guess is that there is evidence that she was strangled at some point (may not have been COD, but it happened).

I don't know why LE said the perp would have scratches on his hands. I'm guessing they're assuming this do to the probable struggle. But wouldn't there also be the possibility of scratches on his face, also?

I've seen that mentioned when the victim's finger nails are broken as a result of fighting back.

Hate to even type this, but: Could the scratches have come from Allison resisting being tied up?
