Wording is kind of strange - why not say ''near where his vehicle was found''? Wasn't he last seen Friday/vehicle found Saturday both at the same gas station?

I had the same thought. The only thing I could think of was that I know his wife had posted that she had moved his truck back to a normal parking spot at the Pilot truck stop (with LE permission), so maybe the presser is saying that because his body was found out in the brush/off the road close to where his truck was originally located. Not sure, just my opinion.

This makes me really wonder what happened. More likely an accident, not as likely suicide. JMHO
