Peoria mother accused of threatening kids, running over girl with her truck over bullying

Police said she acted out because her kids were being bullied and nothing was being done about it.

Gotch got into her Silverado, with her four kids inside, and sped toward 15 kids standing in the park, police said. She went through the park’s rock landscape and ran over a 12-year-old girl’s ankle.

From what I’m reading, seems like the kids were being mean to her kids, possibly over a long period of time, and she snapped and retaliated? I can’t imagine chasing a kid with a stick, let alone trying to run them over. This is terrifying.

Why didn’t she take any other, typical option - taking the kids home, going to a different park, involving other parents…? etc etc. I feel like there’s gotta be more to the story than this. But maybe there isn’t.

Hoping the 12 y/o is recuperating well and that she will be okay soon with her ankle good as new.
What a horror in the park that day. SMH.
There very well be more to this situation, IMO.
