Sad,sad and theres more to the story than what the article says. They interviewed the childs grandmother on TV (who by the way looked like she was in her mid to late 30's is all), and she claims this woman essentially kidnapped the toddler. Yet nobody called the police. The caregiver thought mom was too young to care for the child so she kept the child but nobody bothered to report the kidnapping, which is essentially what it is. Or, custodial interference at the minimum.
Grandma then sadly said they don't even have enough money to get this childs body out of the morgue, and it might sit there over X-mas.
Sad,sad and sorrt but both this whole family is screwed up because it sounds like mom abandoned the baby and this caregiver's house, and now the child is dead.
