Where is Chelsea and what's happened to her? Where is the bearded dragon?
It's unbelievable how a person goes missing without a trace.

Article and video date back to September 2024.

“Are you doing alright?” the officer asks in the body cam video.

“Yeah, I just was doing a photo shoot of the lost soldiers and got a little emotional, so I was crying before I got back on the road,” Chelsea replies to the officer.

“Watching that video, did she seem like the Chelsea you know?” asked True Crime Arizona correspondent Briana Whitney.

“She sounded remarkably composed and nothing in that camera footage alarmed me,” Janet said.

Snipped & BBM...
...Investigators are asking folks who will be shed hunting in Unit 10, to be on the lookout for anything that doesn’t naturally belong in the area, such as glasses, clothing, shoes, possible human bones. If anyone sees anything suspicious, call 602-252-2474.

ETA: Does this mean they think she never left the area where her car was found?

I missed the TV show. Was there any information on why Chelsea lied about her travel intentions?

You can still watch it here online. Sorry, I thought it was Episode 2, but it's Episode 3. Give it a try and see if you can get to see it. It's the first case they cover.

The Link to Episode 3.

I don't think she intentionally lied about her travel intentions, but had big plans that got changed. It's mentioned she was distraught about the breakup with her bf. Try to watch the program. They said Chelsea wrote some things down as her "to do list". One thing she planned for herself she had written "meditate", but changed it to "read The Bible", and she mentioned "get baptized". As I understood it, investigators have not totally ruled out the possibly she met up with some religious group or cult and went off with them. It's hard to let go of all hope.

Thanks for the link. It didn't work for me, unfortunately. In any case, I hope it leads to something.

To the best of my recollection Chelsea was in California and claimed to be going to Connecticut. She had some time, but not enough to take it slowly. Nonetheless, she went to Arizona, slowly and with much dawdling and stopping. She was never going to Connecticut. IMO

I’m checking in here thinking surely Chelsea would have been found by now..
So sad to see she has not been, and we are approaching two years.

How could what seems like a road trip with a lizard to visit relatives go so wrong?
She was 32, I still can’t get over that she took off on such a long trip alone, planning to stay in a tent in the summer time, with a lizard that had specific needs tough to meet in a car.

Thinking through this helps the rest of us try to keep ourselves safe.
Be safe traveling this summer, all

IMO

As an avid side road and cemetery traveler, that she ended up with two flat tires means to me she might have tried to hike out (often a bad idea. Just drive to a populated area on your rims. Really safer). She would have taken her bearded dragon with her. So that would not seem odd. Two flat tires seems odd. That rarely happens on a road that well maintained. ( I've traveled over massively sharp rocks and never gotten a single flat- I go off road a lot).

Nothing about the car seemed odd except the two flat tires. Visiting cemeteries is also not odd to me. The one in Williams is wonderful. I have not been on that particular road, but have been on many in the area. So very many things can go wrong, from getting accidentally shot, to dehydration, to Sunstroke, to actual foul play.

Is it any good? Any new info? I will check it out, but I don't have lots of time to always watch the videos on these cases sadly!

His shows are always well done. The way he lays out the story and the timeline is great.

I thought this was a very well done video on Chelsea's case. Made a lot of sense, imo.
