I would think that a $100,000.00 bail would be deemed unusual in any murder case in the U.S. Working with the courts for so many years myself, I have never seen a bail that low. And anyone would be considered a flight risk in a situation like this. What do they have to lose? IMO

RE: $100k....I know, right!?....I've seen plenty of cases, even non-death related, where bail was set at $150-250k ..."per count"....so to me, it just seemed off..(crazy!) to even ask for bail at such a low set amount...

Unless, that amount was just a matter of 'form', as in, they had to stick something in that blank box as a place holder and the actual amount didn't make any difference and whatever paralegal or admin who filled out the forms could just as easily have stuck in $1.00 (& $100k is just a standard amount they stick in that spot) because realistically, the atty went into court and argued for a lesser bail amount in whatever sum the judge was willing to lower it to.....???...so while the reporter quoting $100k as the requested bail amount was factually correct, his/her doing so, was more of a laughable error due to their ignorance of standard legal practices vs any real desire or expectation by the Defense Atty to realistically get a $100k bail amount..*shrugs*....logically makes more sense I suppose....anyhow, just a theory or two after a bit more consideration ...
