Her live-in boyfriend, who is also the baby's father, says they had gotten into an argument and she just never came back home from work.

A search warrant ABC15 has obtained indicates he may know more than he is letting on.

Phoenix police are now calling the man a "person of interest" because he lived with her, but they stress he is not a suspect in the case.

The court documents state in the days leading up to May 10, Mustafa confided in her sisters that she was afraid of her boyfriend. She was planning to take her baby, leave and get an order of protection against him.

Court documents state her boyfriend was allegedly calling her repeatedly at work with accusations of cheating, and even threatened to kill her.

On May 15, court records state detectives spoke to the boyfriend's sister who stated her brother was acting "paranoid" and made statements she found concerning, such as "I took it to far" and "I can never unsee the things I saw."

Court records indicate the boyfriend told his sister he got into an argument with Mustafa and she had attacked him first.

That same day a search warrant was served at the couple's home near Cave Creek and Deer Valley roads. In Mustafa and her daughter's room court records state police found pillow cases and bed sheets "which contained a small amount of possible blood stained material."

In the same bedroom "luminol was used during processing and sprayed on the walls. The luminol reacted indicating a positive response to blood or other biological matter."


Ugh... This is just not good. Really hoping they find her. Unfortunately I'm not expecting her to be alive. Too many suspicious circumstances. Praying he doesn't get away with this.

They information on the luminal was deliberately obtuse as it doesn't mention blood spatter patterns, blood drips and/r blood transfer patterns. If it 's spatter the shape and size of the droplets can help determine the positioning of the victim and the type of weapon used as well as the amount of force. Drip can help determine at what speed and direction the person or object was moving at the time of the drip. Transfer, among other things, can indicate struggle or an attempt of the perp to clean up or leave the scene quickly. LE are not going to release this detail until the case is much tighter. It's not a good sign though.

I highly doubt the BF was cleaning the daughter's mattress because of bed bugs. Not buying that one at all. I bet LE isn't buying it either. JMO.

Why hasn't his name been put out in the media since he is a POI? I keep reading the boyfriend this. The boyfriend that. I've already learned his name through SM but nothing in MSM yet. I want to sleuth this guy very badly.

Last I read the BF isn't cooperating with LE anymore. I wonder if we can get an insider to come over here and fill us in a little. They seem to be pretty hush hush about this whole thing. I bet being quiet is driving them crazy, but their worried about compromising the investigation. Wish we could help in some way.

I agree. Wish they'd release the BF's name to the public since he's a POI. What are they waiting for? It's so obvious. I hope the people that know him are giving him the stink eye everywhere he goes. I hope he's shivering under the covers at night, losing sleep over what he's done. I hope he realizes that he won't get away with this.
