Thanks Jewels for bringing us Trial by Tweet yet again. Hopefully the camera will be back on Monday.

Thanks Zuri! I would love to watch this trial just as much as everyone here. I have learned sometimes you just have to accept things the way they are.

I just hope yesterday's showing of the jury has nothing to do with the broadcast of this trial.

I have a feeling the jury is going to convict Danny Rodriguez rather than Richard Chrisman. RC, if found not guilty, can then be back on the streets as a cop, either in the PPD or another department.

There were 4 sets of victims in this case: DR family, Danny Rodriguez and his dog, and Sergio Virgillo and his family, and the family of Richard Chrisman. This is such a tragedy all the way around. JMV

I just don't get all the problems with the feed for this trial,we had no problems with the JA trial and that streamed for four months.

So there is no stream at all today?

I wouldn't be shocked if this happened Zuri. He may even get a lesser conviction than the second degree murder charge. You just can't expect the same things when a cop is the one on trial.

There are definitely some things working against the state. Danny was high on meth and he was being non cooperative. Though some of the questions suggest they are leaning towards conviction, if I am being honest. There are things working against Chrisman too, most importantly, the testimony of Virgillo.

But the fact that there are tweets that suggest the jury is close is very comforting. They should be able to work together and come to an agreement.

I think he will be convicted of second degree murder. But I'm not married to the idea, lol.

Found this while I was reading over the tweets re: Vergillo's testimony (beginning around page 6 or 7 under Thread 1 Az.vs.Richard Chrisman trial). It made me think, why didn't Vergillo charge on Chrisman and knock him down? I don't know what the exact placement of all 3 ppl were at this point...it's very hard to know when it's trial by tweet and even during video we couldn't see the outline of the room on the floor. But am I right that Danny would have been over by the kitchen door, bike in front of him, Chrisman on other side of bike, and Vergillo standing in breach of doorway? Wouldn't that put Vergillo next to Chrisman, on one side of him?

I'm not getting why Vergillo didn't do more to stop Chrisman, especially afte he shot the dog, he should have know at that point that Chrsiman was dangerous. I know he was trying to get Danny out of there, but he was the police officer, couldn't he have stopped Chrisman??

I don't know if they covered this, but perhaps Virgillo was too scared to try to stop Chrisman for fear he'd shoot him too. So instead of rushing Chrisman or whatever, he wanted to get Daniel out of there ASAP. He just wanted to get him to a safe place before anything else happened. It's sad. It sounded like a very desperate situation.

ETA: it does sound like Virgillo was quite frightened of Chrisman: "When Chrisman put the gun to Daniel's head the way he did, who knows what could have happened to me."

No, the State rested. I couldn't hear much but it sounded like JM wanted Haag to testify about no damage to the bike (from bullets?) but judge said it had been manhandled too much in court for him to testify to anything.
