Demaio is acting like that 'cause he's never seen no pitbull prosecutor like Juanderful before. Remember Zimmerman trial, he was stuck with all those boring attorneys...he's not used to someone actually challenging him.

WTF?? There were how many police officers at the scene and no one saved the blood gloves for evidence?? Something very fishy there.

The first shot probably did cause him to go forward then backwards. Body will reflex and splint itself usually automatically. You know when you trip and fall your arms shoot out to brace the fall. You don't even realize you are doing it.

The second shot IMO occurred as he was reeling backwards. The shots were in rapid succession and 6" apart. IMO that indicates movement of DR. I haven't heard any testimony yet via you tube or tweet regarding this. Probably missed it. Didn't Lucien Haag testify for the State?

Yes, that sounds exactly like what might happen. Did Juan have a...what do you call them...ballistics or some gunshot wound expert up? Because it sounds like there must be some experts out there who know the body's reactions to different kinds of gunshots.

I haven't seen mention of the gloves in earlier testimony while looking on the first thread, Virgillo's testimony starts here (in tweets and some YTs):

I think all the business about the taser and confetti is because Virgillo says he went outside because of the pepper spray and while he was on the threshhold he used his taser, so the confetti should be on the doorway/porch as well as inside from RC's taser.

The defense keeps trying to paint V. as a liar since he's the only eye witness (still unsure where the Mom was when he was actually tasered and shot, I recall the testimony of her being hysterical when learning he was dead but not where she was during) so anything V. said is going to be argued over I guess.

I really hope in closing JM will give us a finite timeline, I'm still confused as to what occurred between the taser shots and the gunshots, and how much time elapsed between them. I'll watch the YTs of V's testimony later today and see if I can catch what I've missed.

Hi geevee! Thanks for the link from ABC...if they get video from the trial (even if they were short clips!)....then why can't WE see that video?? That means there is video....I don't get what the deal is? Do they not wanna show the police officers' faces? I'm thinking the reason for no video is to protect the police officers...but protect them from who?? If someone from Daniel's family was gonna do something, they would have done it by now! I don't get this...it's probably something obvious that I'm just not getting....

Anyway, so no trial until Tuesday, am I right on that? Typical Arizona....dragging a 1-day holiday out to 4 days (exluding the weekend!).

Geevee, I'm watching defense questioning of Vergillo...Day 2 part 1....Richard Chrisman Trial - Day 2 - Part 1 (Juan Martinez) - YouTube

-Vergillo is being very cautious in how he answers defense attorney, but so far seems very honest to me....like he doens't want to lie under oath, even unintentionally...for example, if he's not sure of the exact wording, he says I don't recall specifically without looking at my report....

There is jury selection going on in the Laura Ackerson murder trial, Grant Hayes is on trial now and his wife (or girlfriend, don't recall if they were married) will be in January, I believe.

Ok watching part 2, I don't get what defense was trying to impeach Vergillo on? Is that stuff with being outside or inside the trailer?? Because to me, it sounds like that whole area...between what the defense is trying to say and what Vergillo is saying...covers like 1 ft.! Vergillo is saying "on the breach of the door," or "in the tiled aread"...which is right inside right next to breach of the door...also Vergillo said he was "by the doorway"...

but the defense is trying to make it sound like he's saying two opposite things!
