Do you think the judge acted the way he did because he thought he'd take Juan down a peg or 2? Maybe he thought Juan was getting too much attention? Like "This guy thinks he's too big for his britches?" Hey, I don't like this judge. I don't like the defense and I don't like Chrisman. This is NOT the type of integrity I expect from Fellow Arizonans. The jury in no way represents a cross section of Maricopa county or "peers". I just hope they get the right verdict.

I was reading about the police shooting an unarmed AA male in North Carolina. This kid had been in a car accident, was able to get out of the car which was in a ravine, and had knocked on a door to get help. As this young man ran towards the cops, one opened fire killing this student. The cop is charged with voluntary manslaughter, because he used excessive force and did not need to kill this kid. Unbelievable.

I was thinking along the same lines, I caught the judge looking at JM as if he'd lost his marbles a couple times, and when JM got a little excited the judge visibly cringed. Maybe that's why he seemed more open to CM, he was quieter and less dramatic.

But not allowing evidence that shows the kind of cop RC had been was, I think, wrongheaded of the judge. And reading the NG on the verdict form first told me everything I had seen in the judge's demeanor was pretty correct. Wish we'd been able to see every bit of it.

I think you said it all. I have not been very impressed with the 2 juries in the 2 trials I have followed in Arizona. I haven't been impressed with the judges either, especially this one. I am impressed by YOU! :blowkiss:

I can only think these jurors don't have anything better to do.............:floorlaugh:
I say verdict today or they're HUNG.

I don't like to speculate but you're right. 15 hours for a case that is quite simple? Sounds like a hung jury to me.

Does anyone think the jury is having too much "fun" and doesn't want it to end? Loud and chatty? What are they doing in there? Exchanging recipes? Playing poker? This is too much. :(

Someone on twitter keeps asking if RC could be charged with manslaughter - umm...no, the jury cannot charge the defendant with anything, and there are no lessor includeds in the charges:

2nd degree murder for killing Daniel,

Aggravated assault for using a gun and pressing it to his temple (hard enough to bruise, no less) and

Animal cruelty for killing the dog.

No other charges are included nor can he be convicted (or acquitted) of.

That's so true.

"Guys, let's bring our lunches on Monday and work hard and get this thing done."

Monday at 11:58.

"Eff that."

Oh no meebee, you are fine. I have brain issues and sometimes don't catch on all that quickly. I love sarcasm. I was directing that at Daisy as she knows better! :floorlaugh:
