AZ - Emily Pike, 14, found dismembered in rural Gila County, last seen in Mesa, 27 Feb 2025

*No suspects or persons of interest have been identified in her case, authorities said. (A bit let down)

*The medical examiner's website listed her date of death as Feb. 14, the day her body was found. (presuming this is because everything is still pending right? )

The Gila County Sheriff’s Office said on Monday that investigators have 10 active tips that are being followed up on.
Arizona Crime Uncovered | Who killed Emily Pike?

just 10 active tips. :( I hope at least one of them leads to a suspect. I hate to think this young girl could end up forgotten by the public as so many missing and murdered indigenous women tend to be MOO

My heart is now broken. I hope they are investigating the family member that assaulted her.
I am starting to really feel it was someone known to her.
This article is informative for her narrative and trauma, but still lacking some key details I feel like?
"An emergency call in the summer of 2023 sent authorities to a hill behind Emily's house. Officers from Game and Fish responded and discovered the traumatized girl."
Who made the call? What is the actual date this happened? Surely there are records, or at least police activity logs, that show when and where incidents occur.
"Officers identified and arrested one of Emily's relatives in the assault, but no charges were filed against him. The alleged assailant may have been a visitor to Emily's home before and after the assault."
Shouldn't there be other family members outraged by this? Or posting on social media about it? Why are they protecting him?
One thing is certain: the system failed Emily long before her killer did. 😞

Thank you fo

Thank you for posting that article. I did hear there was an assault (from a channel that covered this case). They did not specify what kind of assault. and offered no details.

And why tribal game and fish was the investigating agency did the perp have a connection to tribal police?

Im going to guess that if the assaut was at her home (on a reserve) some have their own law enforcement ( some do where I live) or their own system, Im not sure how it is in Arizona.

Now there is a multi agency task force. assigned to her case.

That's the big question! Seems like everyone is confused by this (rightfully so), might have something to do with where the assault occurred i.e. at a park on tribal land. I'm no expert on how BIA operates especially in Arizona, maybe someone near the area can provide some insight on the authority of tribal police in AZ?

I am in az but not familiar with tribal law and how aggressive they enforce. I personally think that a conflict of interest would be the main reason a different agency would investigate.

Dad's family keeping it in the news. Her aunts seem very sincere . Very suprised if the aunts were qualified to care for her and provide a good home that she was not with them, but maybe Mom had some say , there does seem to be some animosity. Hopefully that does not muck up the investigation and everyone is on the same page trying to find Emily's murderer.
