How long have the Smith's been married?

I'm not sure how long they have been married. However, it's not uncommon for property to be in only one name.

I agree, BeanE, and sadly he doesn't look a bit happy in any of those pictures. :( Not one.

My thoughts exactly. He may (or may not) have been drugged. May (or may not) have been sick. But such a radical change from the smiling, happy baby we saw in earlier photos....

Not only that, but when she LIED to LE about writing CC's name down... WITH her lie came another slap in the face to Logan about his past record, which was totally unnecessary and rude.

I wonder if TS is even aware of the fact that since she's been in the media she has continued to do what you just mentioned; discredit him and it infuriates me everytime she does so --btw I was particularly incensed when she did what you mention and posted so here at the time of NG ---grrr

She tries to shift the blame or spotlight each time her lies are revealed like a small child might do and she does not seem to care much who she will throw under the bus

I hope Logan knows that most intelligent people can see through Tammi's poor attempts to make herself look innocent and pure in this case

Hi Bean, thanks for all of your hard work on the summaries -- I cannot imagine how many hours it took reading through all of the threads, and I bet you saw some interesting things --

Do you remember where this tidbit about EJ texting her all of the above?
Did not EJ's email state that she was not going to use her phone for fear of being traced? TS keeps changing her stories and it's really hard for me to remember because I get so frustrated with the changing reports of "facts"

Thank you again!

The texts were posted on Tammi's FB, but have since been deleted. I saved copies, but I don't think we can post them here. I will ask a mod about it.

The text you're referring to was sent on 12/29 about 6:30pm

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to get on here recently....been working. All night. Just caught up on the thread. I skimmed, so if I sound redundant, I apologize.

First, the pictures of Gabriel. I think he looks absolutely normal. He doesn't look thin, or sickly, IMO. In fact, the first picture on the slideshow from KPHO, his legs look very chunky. The second picture looks like he just woke up. Picture #3, looks like he can barely keep his eyes open. Picture #4 he appears to have that cranky "I'm fighting the whole sleep thing" look. He wants to go to sleep, but he doesn't. If you have little babies, you know that look. Picture #5 looks like it could be from a different day. Different pacifer, and the other pictures don't appear to have the stains on the outfit. The last picture looks like he has finally given up and is just amusing himself until he falls asleep. All my opinion.

I'm not going to beat up on the babysitter. But, I do think she was either basing her interview on what was already in the media, or she was intercepted by TPS and coached on what to say.

Gabriel did have a book. (Looks like a kid's book to me)
Gabriel did have toys.
Gabriel appeared to be clean, other than the stains on his pajamas.
Gabriel did not appear to be skinny or deprived of basic nourishment.
The room did not appear to be dirty or cluttered.
I did not see a knife.
The medicine bottle appeared to be full or close to it.

A lot of the stuff the babysitter was saying sounded very familiar, IMO. When EJ trashed her and Logan's apt., there was a knife, EJ was enraged, things were destroyed. IMO, law enforcement released these pictures to put the kabash on the babysitter's story. Many people were ready to write Gabriel off as dead, with the description the babysitter gave. The wild-eyed, angry, EJ and sad, listless, malnourished Gabriel. The pictures prove the opposite. And, IMO, if you are going to drug a child to "shut him up", a better choice would be Benadryl, not Tylenol. Also, if someone told me to just give him more Tylenol to shut him up, I would probably involve the police, or at least CPS. I don't care how long I've known the person. Especially if the person didn't even give me an indication that there was anything wrong with the child, other than them needing to be shut up.

Again, JMO.

From the NG show transcript from last night....

If this is true, then why did she help EJ by putting CC's name on that Paternity pleading? They were "making sure that she did everything correct and legal"? But yet she says she was in a "hurry" to get the paperwork to the court and "did not read them" and did not know that CC's name was there? Thats taking your time to make sure EVERYTHING is correct and legal?

Are we supposed to believe everything she says about the communication she had with EJ between the 26th and the when she got arrested? She it was a poor decision and it made her look bad.

Why didn't she goto the police and ask them how she should have responded to EJ while she was on the run? Maybe they could have thought of something that may have tripped her up in SA B4 she did whatever she did with the baby?

How come you did not think about doing that TS? There were missing person reports in the news. If you had ANY information regarding the whereabouts of EJ and GJ you were advised to contact LE! Why didn't you contact LE immediately when you were contacted by EJ? Why did you take matters into your own hands? Are you a trained LE officer? I seriously doubt it.

Nothing but a wanna-be hero/control-freak. I will bet that any decisions that are made in the JS - TS household must get FINAL approval by TS b4 they are set in stone.

Who would want to live in a relationship like that? I sure would not.

If she was trying to do everything to help EJ do everything "correct and legal" she would not have written Craig Cherry's name on the paternity court paperwork AND she would have alerted LE on the 23rd of December instead of posting wishes for safe travels for EJ and her baby --They would have found EJ immediately and Logan could have given Gabe his first Christmas

Telling people to PM you for info we're not allowed to post is against TOS, and can earn a timeout.

The message has been quoted a few times.

Can I ask that y'all self-edit so we keep Gabriel's thread from getting shut down?

Thanks!

How long have the Smith's been married?

I believe they have been married 10 years. I think they've been together 12 years. I'll try to find it to confirm.

Mother of missing baby faces 4 felony charges
by Megan Boehnke - Jan. 16, 2010 12:00 AM
The Arizona Republic

As police continue their nationwide search for a missing baby, a Maricopa County grand jury has indicted the child's mother on four felony charges.

Elizabeth Johnson, 23, was charged Thursday with kidnapping, child abuse, custodial interference and conspiracy to commit custodial interference in the December disappearance of her son, 8-month-old Gabriel.

The indictment comes as the San Antonio Police Department has opened its own investigation into Gabriel's disappearance. Elizabeth Johnson spent six days in San Antonio, and her car was found at a motel there.
Police tracked Johnson down in Miami, Fla. She was brought back to Arizona and is in custody at a Maricopa County jail.

On Thursday night, Tempe police served a search warrant at the Scottsdale home of a couple who last week were named "persons of interest." The warrant was executed at the home of Jack and Tammi Smith, who had wanted to adopt the baby.

The warrant was signed and sealed by a judge and executed by detectives, said Tempe police Sgt. Mike Horn. He declined to comment on what investigators were looking for or what they took out of the home. But he said detectives left the home at about 1:15 a.m.

The search came hours after Tammi Smith voluntarily spoke with investigators at the Tempe police station, Horn said. Afterward, she told reporters outside the station that she helped Elizabeth Johnson fill out custody paperwork last month and put the name of one of her own relatives as a potential father of Gabriel. Police said last week they spoke with the other man named on the custody paper and he told them he had never met Johnson and could not be the father of her child.

Police have said for the past week they believe the Smiths are not entirely forthcoming and they might have information that could lead to Gabriel.

I completely agree here, and would add that Gabe in the earlier pictures when he stayed with Tammi had many around him aside from the photographer to make sure he looked happy in the photographs -- not too difficult to do, but difficult to do if you are the only one in the room and trying to take a picture -- just IMO

Not to argue with you because I don't think Gabriel looks thin or bad at all in the pictures but I blew up the picture and the book looks like a sprial notebook to me IMO

Does this mean someone else is going to be charged with the conspiracy since my understanding of conspiracy is that it involves TWO or MORE people?
Any input and/or corrections are welcome!

Just wanted to add that I did watch *some* of NG last night and TPS sounded more angry and defensive than I've ever heard her sound before. She knows the pressure is on. Hope she's not too confident about her hard drive. I'm betting she thinks that if she deleted certain things off it, those things will be gone forever. If she does think that, she is sadly mistaken.

  • #558
How smug can the Smith's be...when the house was being searched JS stated "let me tell you how worried I was...I fell asleep on the couch". If LE was searcing my home, sleeping on the couch would be my last thought...maybe drinking a full pot of coffee would be the thing to do...

Making coffee for LE while they were there would have been less pretentious since they were so happy to have them there.

I don't think you are arguing. You have your opinion, I have mine. No problems :)

I still think its a kid's book. The design on the back looks like something made for a child. My kids have plenty of kid's books with spiral binding. Either way, there are plenty of other things that the babysitter said that can be nullified by these photos. JMO.
