Ya might wanna run this by a good attorney. :waitasec:

If intentionally lied in an effort to PREVENT the father from having knowledge of what was happening (the father says Jack's own daughter lied to him to accomplish this), then they might face charges.

If Tammi and Jack circumvented the law to illegally take a child from a parent, then the State of Tennessee was NOT in control of that situation. They had to assume that the statements made by the "so called" responsible parties were TRUTHFUL. :banghead:

I do not need to run that by an attorney because I know that when a child is in State custody it is the State's responsibility to notify someone of their rights being terminated and the trial date for that. After their rights are terminated the parent has no say in the adoption, only the State does. So the only notification about adoption at that point would go to the State and not the parents.

I dont agree with that. It has previously come to light that custody of "H" was taken by the State of TN and placed with Tammie and Jack. The State of TN was in control of that situation and how it turned out. It was not Tammie or Jack's responsibility to find or contact the father or his parents.

Kewl.... :)

Of COURSE it is the state's responsibility to notify. When a person interferes with that, as in circumventing the law, well, we are watching THAT scenario play out with Gabriel, aren't we?

It will be interesting to see what happens with "H". I see quite a media storm of father's rights following on the heels of this debacle.

The explainations are just from MY personal experiences of living with Bipolar. I am sure that everyone has a different experience with Bipolar, depending on the degree of severity, whether it is Axis I, Axis II, or Mixed, and any other psychological issues (like a personality disorder, anxiety disorders, etcc.) My input is in red...

Here is my new theory, of sorts, this all MOO

Maby EJ is not the horrible terrible evil girl we think she is. yes she said some very disturbing things, not taking her side, just humor me. She is Bi-polar right? keep in mind, I have a limited knowlegde of this disorder, and a friends sister who has it. so maby when she tore everything up in the house, she was in her manic mode, and when reality hit, it scared her. Maybe it was not the first, since Gabe has been born. and I say maby it scared the Heck out of her. she loves this baby, and would be devastated if she hurt him in a manic fit(I do not know what they are called, feel free to correct me) The times she told dad to "take that baby with you" were times she felt she was in her manic state. or heading there.

This is entirely possible. I have been known to throw objects and break furniture during explosive episodes... Only to quickly realize after that particular cycle is over that it was NOT the best thing to do. I tend to cycle rapidly- I can go from deeply depressed to hypomanic extremely quickly. My emotions are the key here. Not sure about others' triggers though.

and here comes TS, Whatever TS says sounds like a blessing. baby Gabe will be safe! Maby she really wanted to be with LM, and that is why she thought maby he would sign the papers. and she couldn't be with him, if Gabe was in his custody, because she was scared to be around him. TS Knew exactly what to say. whatever it was. Being bi-polar, is it possible to be so focused on 1 thing, that you lose touch with reality, or evrything else that may make sense? IDK for sure. but once EJ got the thought into her head, that adoption wuld be best, she was stuck on that. think about the reason a mother normally gives their child up, I have been there, some of you have adopted. it is a selfless thing, something done with love, no matter the pain on the birthmom.

Absolutely! For me, when I am entering a hypomanic cycle, I become extremely focused on one thought, emotion, feeling, or whathaveyou- dare I say almost obsessively... For me, its like a record player catching a scratch on an LP and hearing the same line play over and over in your head. I have had panic attacks before during one of these episodes beacuse of how bad it can get.

or, not sure how this works with Bi-polar, but is possible to think others are "out to get you"?? if so, being EJ thinks LM "ruined her life" simple as her haveing a baby she loves but cannot raise, to thinking he may want to harm her. is it possible in this state, she thought maby she was running to "save baby gabe"?? I know manic states can sometimes last quite awhile, correct? and she went off her meds, so maby this was a sign that she was getting manic?

I don't know really kow how to answer this one... PAranoia is usually associated with Schizophrenia, but if someone is having a manic episode, paranoia is definitely possible. A manic episone can become bad enough that the person's symptoms can mimic a schizophrenic flair up- hearing voices, hallucinations, delusions of grandure, flights of thought. I have a lot of other psychological scars compounding my Bipolar, so I do tend to be somewhat paranoid at times, but never to that exterme.

I think TS manipulated EJ, isn't there some law for taking advantage of the mentaly ill?? EJ may function normally, but if her emotions/mental state are played upon, I think this is serious. Maby in the end, EJ realized what TS was doing and ran? Everyone was out to get her and baby Gabe. They wanted to "take" him. true or not, she may have felt this, and it made it so, KWIM? AND NOBODY was going to just TAKE her baby!! she tried to take some sort of control, ran and handed baby Gabe off to a couple of her chooseing! And so goes her myspace status--- "TAKE THAT SUCKAS!!!!"

People take advantage of others for all sorts of reasons. I will be the first to admit that I have been 'taken advantage of' by friends and potential mates, and when finally the truth comes out, what is the explaination?- "You make it so easy", meaning my mood fluctuations make me sometimes depend on others more for guidance. My problem, I always choose the wrong ones to look to... Looks like maybe EJ could have done this...

He just looks to cared for, IMOO. I mean if she did not want this baby AT ALL. why take such care to keep him clean and comfy??

feel free to poke holes in my theory, or tell me it is time to retire my WS hat! LOL

I think the key here is motivation... Whatever EJ's motivation in all of this was, only she can speak to... We can only hope that she was in touch with reality enough to keep Gabriel safe, and will tell LE soon where he is.

How could Tammie have possibly interfered with the State notifying him of his rights being terminated? It is the States responsibility to locate the parent or make an attempt to regardless of what Tammie says his last address was. Do you honestly believe the States attorney takes her word for it and calls it a day? How many adoptions do you think would be overturned in TN if that were the case?

Tammi asked God to strike her dead if she's lyin', and we haven't heard from her since.

Gosh BeanE...you are KILLING me tonight...absolutely killing me! I was just starting to calm down from laughing over the first funny post (the first one - hours ago where you were afraid that God may have taken action) and here you go again! Thank goodness I've already washed my face because I would have mascara all down my face!

TAW is running around crying but from what I can tell the Smiths did not do anything wrong in that adoption. TAW had notice of the hearing but says he was FORCED to work out of state and not able to attend. I don't know what his priorities were but if it were me and it was a hearing about termination of parental rights I would quit me job and be there. He seems to have a case of sour grapes. I am glad the Smiths have H. She seems to be the best choice of the parents she was stuck with. BTW, her mother seems fine with the arrangement.

Well good night all! Prayers for Gabriel and hoping he is found soon!!!

Exactly, I dont understand how so many people can overlook this major admission by TW himself.

what is the name of that adoption attorney? This has surely been seen by the great webslueths, and I of coursed missed it, but a comment on one of TS' FB photos is by who I think is the lawyer, and she states that she will be in town in 12.21.09, and did they still need any help.

which album?

there was a similar comment by someone who wanted to be their nanny ...

THANK YOU! I kinda know what goes on, as I have seen my BFF's sister deal with bi-polar, and I knew there were different "types". your explanations to my thought process were very easy to understand, I think I learned something, so thank you again!

Boy,this thread is moving so fast it is difficult to keep up..everyone is doing some exceptional sleuthing..thank you..

Now she's asking people to pray for Logan....
She's building a cocktail. When more people were speaking out against Logan, she hated him, he was unfit...just look at his record.
Now that Logan is seen as more of a victim, she wants us to remember him, pray for him, associate him with her when we think.

If people were to start posting to her FB that Logan doesn't deserve our prayers, she would change her tune to pray that Logan be saved. This is kind of creepy to watch.

A Bunch. And yes they can and do often make it easy on themselves.... for lots of dif reasons. Everyone is not corrupt or lazy but a whole lot of them are.

two questions:

1. can anyone refresh my memory on where it was said that EJ is bipolar?

2. did anyone dig up any more info on the nanny that the Smith's hired?
