Do you all think Church's would pass flyers after service?

They might. Some people don't like to put them up because it depresses people or whatever. It wouldn't hurt to try.

When a new baby is born (here in canada) in the hospitall or out, we file for a b/c, then receive a social insurance number and a carecard. All those id's help with health care, school registration, doctor and/or hospital visits as well as immunization, employment, filing taxes, obtaining a passport as well as baby bonus for children under 6 years of age and monthly family allowance issued by Gov of Canada.

None of those id's are optional but required.

I would think if someone filed for any of those requirements 8 months later, they'd be questioned as this happened to me when my youngest daughter was born in California. Proof is needed and case solved.

How does the system work in the U.S.? Even with forged documents do you think sooner or later these 'adoptive parents' would be tracked?

So many avenues to be explored, it makes my head spin!

It might do Logan and his family some good to get out in the media with more plea's for Gabriel's return. But I don't blame them if they aren't feeling up to that.
They really need to have a media spokesperson at least. We need to drive home just how much Gabe's family loves and misses him.

Also, is there anything we can do to help get the reward raised?

I wish Logan or anyone from his family would go on Nancy Grace and plea for his return. I know she's probably not their favorite person because she always seems to push the negative but that's who's providing the most coverage and if someone does have him they could be watching her show for updates.

The reward does need to be raised. How is that usually done? Donations?

They wouldn't be filing for Social Security cards and birth certificates 8 months late, unless they had a well thought out and planned excuse....such as the baby was born overseas, or the child was previously abducted.

That apparently was the story that was used in at least one case that I know well. All documents were applied for with the story that the child had been abducted at birth and had just been returned home. A couple fake letters on police letterhead and a fake crib card and the documents went through. (23 years ago, would likely be harder today.)

Hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices, libraries, family recreation centers, day care centers, zoos, museums, baby stores, drugstores, bulk baby supply stores such as Sam's Club, Six Flags, baby departments in department stores, portrait studios...

Those of you with babies and small children, where do you take your little ones for recreation, medical needs, etc.? Where do you go to buy baby supplies?

Also I wanted to mentioned that where I am (Vancouver) I have seen no media coverage of Gabriel at all. Vancouver is a pretty large city with many newsstations, it's not like we're in some hicktown where noone watches the news.

The only reason I know about Gabriel is because I read CNN online, watch NG and read at WS but I question how many others obtain their news info from online sources.
Because the media coverage of Gabriel here is next to none, I question how much newscoverage he gets in other provinces, other states and other countries. I bet none.

And THATS the problem with getting his precious face out there for ppl to see.

I know it's a far stretch but I am watching my neighborhood for anyone with a new baby and that's all we can do, keep an eye out in our neighborhoods no matter where you live. Life works in funky ways.

I lit my candle for Gabriel and I am sending prayers from Canada.

Perhaps another idea could be sending that missing poster of Gabriel via e-mail to all our friends, and their friends, and their friends and keep forwarding. I know that would reach a lot of people and would cover a lot of grounds.

If an adoptive family has him, which I'm praying they do, I honestly think EJ filled their head with lies about how horrible his Dad is and that he needs a safe, loving home with a family. I think an adoptive parent may take the risk if they think they're keeping the baby safe and now that it's in the media and they see that's she's a lying psycho, it's too late they have had him for a month and they're so in love with him that they won't let him go. Selfish but love can do that to you. Which means LE has to find him.. I'm hoping the vigil for Gabriel tonight will show everyone that he does have a loving family at home and they are all waiting for his return.

BBM, or it's too late and they DON'T want to be hauled in for questioning in their "legally, authorized" procurement of Baby Gabriel. They are NOT the Smiths who love the media spotlight. If someone has him, they are probably in love with him, I agree, but they are probably wanting to stay out of jail as well.

La, Ark, Miss, Ala...etc. So I just left it the way it is. By not putting the "last location seen" on there maybe people who don't already know Gabriel's story, will be more likely to look for him; thinking he's from their own area.
Does that make a lick of sense?:waitasec:

trying to remember what we did when our son was born.

The law saws you must register for a birth certificate within 6 weeks of a child's birth
Mother and father must bring ID
Birth confirmation from hospital
both parents have to sign a form declaring that the man is the father of the child (if unmarried). I was unmarried at the time.
this allowed us to get a social security card
the BC and SSC allowed us to get a passport

I do know it's illegal to change any information on a birth certificate without going through the legal system. An adoptive family would have to get Gabriel a whole new set of papers (done in the underground). Probably give him a new name, birth certificate, and SS card. I hear they take them from dead people

All I know is whatever is going on, it can't be good!

I see your point and the flyer looks great, perfect pics but to me if I wasn't familiar with the case it sounds like he is missing from Arizona-last seen in Arizona.

YES!!!! Gabriel is getting coverage in the UK.
I posted a question on Yahoo Answers and one person has responded that saw his story on Sky in the UK.

I don't know if this avenue will go anywhere, but worth a try. It's posted in the Newborn and Baby section.

The thing about Gabriel possibly being dressed as girl came from LE. I wonder if that is just to keep our eyes out for the possibility or if they may have evidence of this like maybe video of a baby girl with a couple leaving the motel.

Well I mean when is the last time you saw that on a missing poster or even heard it come from LE about a missing child? It's always a possibility with any missing child but you don't normally hear it from LE. I think they may have evidence to support this.

Oh, I misunderstood. The possibility of him being dressed as a girl was brought up LE not the video.
