You asking that question just put two and two together for me (along it's just a hunch) ... Tammi's ex husband got custody of their kids, they lived in Louisiana. One of Tammi's pages (I think myspace maybe) explains this as "he was turning them against me" (more or less a direct quote - I don't have the link). I'm not sure if there was more there (and she is writing a book, oy vey!) or not, but it sounds like she's claiming she willingly gave in to let him have custody - that just might NOT be the case.

Yes that background info she was sharing on the internet was quite interesting. Something tells me that TPS tells this story every chance she can get. She's getting ready to publish it in a book apparently. And since she's got a connection to San Antonio and admits to having been there to receive at least one of her "certifications", I would imagine she's told lots of people there about her sad story. And just maybe she met people who told her about that "underground" network for abused women who feared losing custody of their children?

Seems a few of her friends also have visited San Antonio Texas.
Lots of adopted Familys if you will on her facebook and lots of young girls.:waitasec:

Where are EJ's parents?? It really bothers me that no one from her family is speaking

One of the first posts http://www.kens5.com/news/local/test-today-80458837.html
Johnson, who has a criminal record that does not include violence, will not cooperate with investigators, and neither will her family members, even though Johnson was facing a loss of custody. Her desperate moves have baffled authorities.

:(

Yeah .... probableee!! But I wonder what the other side of the story is. It would be interesting if she actually claimed she had been abused or her husband was abusive to the kids?

She does claim he abused her. Wonder what he thinks about that? :waitasec:

This story was just posted about an hour ago. More lies or just irresponsible journalism?

FOX 10 talked to a Scottsdale couple who contacted Johnson when she was advertising her baby for adoption. They actually met with her, and Gabriel stayed with them for a week last month.
When we asked Jack Smith and his wife if they think Gabriel is okay, he said, "In my heart, I do. We saw the love of a mother in her eyes."

I knew that story about meeting her in an airport was full of it. I am sure that they met on the internet and it had to do with TPS obsessive desire for a baby. If they lied about how they met, it proves that they are lying in the rest of their story. I can't wait until LE gets all the cell phone and internet records together and we find out the real story.

And, let's not forget this is probably another lie they told

But McQueary said he also was contacted by a couple interested in adopting Gabriel and was told if he wanted his son to have a safe home, he would sign adoption papers.

McQueary said he did not sign any papers, and police said investigators questioned the couple and currently do not plan to charge them.

The couple, Tammi and Jack Smith, said they had been working with Johnson and McQueary for the last seven months about adopting the child but would not reveal the details surrounding the adoption.

“Both of them supported the adoption, but for some reason, Logan got cold feet at the last minute,” Tammi Smith said.

Smith also said she spoke with Johnson, who called her from the jail on Tuesday, but she did not disclose the whereabouts of Gabriel.

McQueary also said Tuesday that he never spoke to the Smiths until Dec. 19, when he found out about them through a Child Protective Services report when Johnson was trying to file a complaint of abandonment, claiming McQueary had not seen the child for 30 days.

Johnson had apparently been talking to the Smiths about adopting Gabriel after they met her on a plane while she was coming back from Boston, according to McQueary.

“I never talked to them about any adoption,” McQueary said. “I had no clue. I told them there was no way in hell I’m giving up my son for adoption. I wanted my son. She was pretty secretive about it.”

Nancy Grace do you read here? If so, word to ya... you're going to need a spatula to scrap all that egg off of your face when the truth comes out that TPS is behind this whole thing! jmo

I believe that she knows where he isl

How much jail time will EJ get as of now?

  • #155
I just think is very odd that she supposedly spent three days with "Cheryl" and her husband, yet doesn't know his name. I am sure on some occasion he introduced himself or at dinner time she called his name.

I agree, everyone has let that little guy down -- and I'm certainly not giving her a "pass"! Where are her PARENTS? She has a grandfather - but if all of this being-left-in-the-dirty-diapers and beating/hitting -- WHERE WAS EVERYBODY THEN?

You know, it is so sickening to think that right now, some little child is going through that and no one is doing a damned thing about it but talking.

But my point is - yes, this is horrible and was horrible and inexcusable - we need to find that little baby NOW -

and TPS is the orchestrator, I believe, of this whole thing. I believe she is selfish and manipulative and an opportunist -- maybe the thing to do is get EJ to see that TPS used her to get the baby -- and turn EJ against TPS!

If EJ thinks that TPS has used her, she may explode and then talk!

What do you think?

FB search for "Tammi Peters Smith "

Although I got a little creeped out when I searched for Tammi Fay on there and got this

That was definitely creepy!!!

IMO she did meet up with a couple in San Antonio, and this meeting was set up by the Smiths.
And, I can almost say with 100% certainty, the lady's name aint Cheryl. JMO

Yep. It's quite a story.

Oh, for cripe sake.... I'd be the first one to support anyone who was abused, but why am I thinking that is not the case here.

Wow, this whole story is so full of crap! The Smiths are so consistent with their inconsistencies. The time lines do not make sense, each interview TS reports different times/dates.
This woman is dangerous. NG was kind of making me sick with her pandering towards them, like they are the most caring and thoughtful people in the world. Like they are the only ones who cared for this poor little neglected boy.
Like she did with Bradley Lockhart.
At least she is now covering missing children instead of Tiger.
TS is soooooo full of ulterior motives - totally obvious. The "connections" they have in Texas are the ones that took that child in the park, to hide until TS can get her mits on him.
At least I actually hope so - the child would still be alive. Don't know, though, its getting a little scary that its been 10 days and no sign of the child.
I want NG to investigate better the folks she interviews on her show! Does she have any idea about TS and her history???
Logan should sue the Smiths for slander. They did not even know him or talked to him about alleged abuse or maltreatment. Yea, I know he has some kind of history, and that he admits. But he is the father, despite TS spewing out the mouth only what the psycho EJ told her.
She'll say anything to get that baby, and put media and others on her twisted side. She adores the attention.
The biggest clue to me is that TS is not upset or frantic about finding this child - showing that she knows where he is and that he is safe. Otherwise, she would be begging for "Cheryl" and "Mr. Cheryl" to please please bring the baby back.:yow:
