That story by Ms Tammi is full of s**t! What a croc. I'd like to see on paper what REALLY happened with those kids. I am sure the real story is quite different!

I've seen where people have accessed custody court papers on the HaLeigh Cummings case, posting them... I ponder if that can be done with Tammi's custody papers.

I do believe she has little or no contact with her other kids. If you look at her MS pics... the pictures she has of her other kids are all from one outing. I feel sorry for her other children seeing how obsessed she is with adopting and all the pictures of her new adopted daughter. And then there is her cafemom writings about how abusive her ex was which I am sure was all fabricated in her off-her-rocker mind of hers. That woman is nutso!

Thanks - I was wondering how much of her other kids was on her pages. Yeah, they must feel pretty weird seeing how rabid she is about adopting and maybe confused about all the accusations (esp assuming they probably love their dad and maybe he was a very good father?). I can't buy her story about all her past at all, it just doesn't seem authentic to me (big gapping holes don't help either like the part about her mom giving away the kids which I mentioned). I was surprised to hear Tammi's ex say that Mr. Smith didn't want her kids, that Tammi chose him over her own kids - that sounds more like the truth to me.

I'm really starting to wonder about the kid adopted that was the step-daughter's? I just can't see that as being a good idea. If the daughter wanted it, then they should have just helped her out, if not, then I think a regular adoption would have been best. I just have to wonder what influence they had over her and how that all played out.

Wonder if now LE or the FBI will check that out. It doesn't make any sense that she claims her mother gave them away and she couldn't find them for a year - then she says she fought for 5 years to get them back? If so, there's a big court paper trail, probably in Louisiana.

Did you read any of her comments to other members on the surrogate forum ?

At 4:11pm on November 25, 2008, TS said…Where at in Kentucky? We moved from Nashvill,Tn to Arizona a year and a half ago. We know a lot of people in Kentucky. Have you heard of The ----- Family? They are a Southern Gospel group out of KY. Are you willing to be AI and do a TS? TS

At 9:18pm on December 15, 2008, TS said…We actually just did insems a few minutes ago! If you need anything, .let me know.

Maybe I'm just having a dumb moment, but what does that last comment by TS mean? insems?

That story indicates that she is (or was) under the impression that someone without custody of children can give them away to someone else without being arrested.

insemination I assume

Well, sounds like she might just think that kind of thing or variations could work in the present maybe? :waitasec: Hey, maybe her story IS autobiographical, she just changed the names, whose kids she's talking about, and the dates.

That's what I thought, but then who is we?

"We actually just did insems a few minutes ago!"

And, a few minutes ago? Sounds like she is in a clinic? Or a bedroom? Maybe her husband is inseminating women.

Yeah, and wishful thinking in the part where the person with custody just finally gives up trying to enforce it.

Or that story is just that - a story.

Alright, Tammi seems to know a lot about adoption...and yet she knows nothing about adoption. The comments about her other alleged children make it clear that she knows nothing about how that type of custody issue is handled. She has no idea how the adoptions in Africa (which she loves so much) are handled. Either of these could have been easily explained to her by an attorney...yet seemingly she avoids them.
Even tonight, no lawyer. They are POI's, Le is insinuating that they are guilty of kidnapping, or custodial interference, or illegal adoption practices or even murder. They have been publicly named, as such.
And they have no attorneys. Even EJ had enough self preservation instinct to shut up and get an lawyer. (Too bad she doesn't have half that in maternal instinct.)

So, why the fear or aversion or whatever? Her laughing and the inconsistencies in tone during the jail phone call, the fidgeting, the seeming inability to shut up...all strike me as two people on the verge of panic. When most people are on the verge of legal panic, they get a lawyer. Not these two. Makes me wonder how far they will go to avoid that, and why?
Maybe they have to wait for public defenders, maybe they really think they can pull this off, maybe they don't want to appear guilty? I have no idea. I do know that in this day and age, it is dam weird. Makes them totally innocent, full-blown martyrs or guilty idiots.
Guess which one I'm leaning towards.

I wanted to add that in the article I read in the San Tan newspaper yesterday which went into more detail about EJ's erratic behavor, one time she actually hid Gabe under a blanket and told LM Gabe was missing. That is concerning and bad behavior point blank. She was a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

Hi...can you please give me a link to that article and paper?

thanks so much

Police: Couple May Know More About Disappearance
Source Reveals Why Tammi, Jack Smith Are Now Person's Of Interest
Pat McReynolds
Reporter, KPHO.com

UPDATED: 10:56 pm MST January 7, 2010

According to those who know her, Elizabeth Johnson has never been to Nashville. She has no contacts there. But Tammi Peter Smith does. That's where she opened her first Healing Waters clinic back in 2004.

Tempe police said they are taking the connection seriously, naming the Smiths as persons of interest in the case.

"There would be nothing that they could charge us with because we have done nothing, we've done everything that the police have asked us," Tammi Peter Smith said.

Tammi and Jack Smith said their only priority is the safe return of 8-month-old Gabriel, and said it was Elizabeth who was driving the adoption plans. Not them.

"We did not do the adoption papers like she wanted. She wanted to keep pushing it along, pushing it along," Tammi Smith said.

But the baby's father, Logan McQueary, remembers differently. He said the Smiths pressured him after Gabriel disappeared.

And Tonight, an eerily similar story has emerged.

"I think what they've done is wrong. They've manipulated the system and lied and I wouldn't mind seeing them face charges," said Jack Smith's stepson, Travis Andrews Warford.

Warford is the biological father of Jack Smith's Granddaughter, Hannah. Warford claims the Smiths offered him money to sign over his custodial rights.

"Three different occasions over a year and a half in between, the man offered me money to get out of his life, leave him alone and let him have my little girl, period. I'll put my hand on any bible in any court in the United States and swear to it," said Warford.

But Tammi Smith replied, "Why would we offer him money, they revoked his rights?"

The Smiths were awarded legal custody of Hannah. But Travis, who has spend time in jail, says he was never alerted that the Smiths were headed to court.

"I'm angry. And the first chance that I have any opportunity, I will do as much as I can to gain not only visitation, but ultimately custody of my daughter," said Warford.

The Smiths deny all of Warford's claims.

"I'm sorry. You guys need to dig and find out who this guy is, and then you will be embarrassed that you are asking these questions," said Tammi Smith.

"At the end of the day, God will see justice done. And if they've done to these people what they done to me, but he's even lying to the law and the media, his time will come," said Warford.

How Warford's claims relate to the attempted adoption of Gabriel Johnson and his current whereabouts remains to be seen.

Sometimes I wonder if the Smith's wanting babies so bad is just a front for actually needing babies as inventory.

well, that's something else I assume(d) is that since they were looking for a surrogate, they found one & were 'inseminating' her lol

interesting...

maybe being able to do colonics she is now trying her hand at artifical insemination on the cheap??

Sort of like a turkey baster LOL??

With her "clinics" she would have the perfect setup...tables, etc

someone had mentioned the "colon" stuff might be a front....maybe for this?? Artificial insem could be her "sideline"??? eeeekkkk
