I dont know , but it wouldn't work, here in Colorado it is not considered abandonment until 1 year has passed that the other parent has had no contact or support :)

Could this be what Jack's weird comment referenced when he spoke to Elizabeth about Gabe being gone long enough to "recirculate back into the system"? I know that isn't the exact wording, but the general gist, and I thought it was very strange and obviously something they had discussed before.

On this site you can lookup cellphone towers for just about any area, scroll down and you will see find cell tower locations and put in Victoria, TX or wherever you want and it will pull up all towers around that area.

SPECULATION ALERT :) - If she drove into Victoria on Highway 87 - it leads directly to the airport. Probably a pretty small airport. Interesting.

TS is posting this stuff now on her site

Pat Brown:
This is the call I find so interesting: note at the end what the Smiths say to Elizabeth. They emphasize that if she can't help identify who has the baby and for some reason they are able to hide the baby for years, she will be in jail all that time for murder,
If they helped her hide the baby, why would they say this? And why would she cover for them?Raw: Missing Baby Mom Speaks With CBS 5 News
www.kpho.com
Elizabeth Johnson reveals new details in an exclusive CBS 5 News phone interview.

there is a bunch of posts after this with other peoples names then TS says:

T**** P***** S****: Thank you Pat! It was a pleasure talking with you today...Call me later if you want to do that thing on Wednesday, OK! BTW, this would be a great post on my wall.......lol....

I dont know how to link it but it was on her FB.

Oh, god, now she thinks she's a celebrity.

If they helped her hide the baby, why would they say this? And why would she cover for them?

I can think of reasons and we heard (although I guess Pat didn't) that this occurred near the end of the 9 minute phone call, that Elizabeth seemed surprised she could be charged, etc. as was discussed a couple of pages ago. The Smith's are also providing her lawyer and they are good at making EJ think they are still on her side.

But....then how did she get hold of them at all? All jail calls are collect. Cell phones don't take collect calls.

~sigh~

Just one easy answer. That's all I want.

Bold by me.

I do too. I think there is a good chance that EJ is singing, even though they say that she isn't. Unfortunately, I do not think that she can lead them to Gabriel, at least not directly.

I read she lawyered up.

From the article that Mysticrose posted.

Since then, Bob has heard from his granddaughter twice. First, she called to ask for Tammi Smith's home phone number to call her collect from jail. In the second conversation, which was recorded by a local television station, Elizabeth said she had not killed her baby but had given him to a couple in a San Antonio park.

Why would she have to ask for Tammi's home number if the Smith's set this up?

I am back to Square Una.

Bolded by me...

When she was arrested, they probably confiscated all of her belongings. She may have had their number just programmed into her cell phone and didn't have it memorized.

http://www.kpho.com/video/22155911/index.html

notice in the tape that EJ says she didn't go to the police in SA because she was afraid she would get arrested for kidnapping - Tammi immediately jumps in and say "And, who told you that?" EJ says, "Logan" at ~ 5:20

ARG!! SO then Tammi says "So, basically you were on the ledge and Logan pushed you off!"

What frustrates me is how EJ doesn't GET IT...the seriousness of her crime...or at least her admission of killing the baby to Logan. In listening to the taped interview (link above, read the full text on #181 of this thread also) that everyone is beating round the bush with her and not directly telling her that if the baby comes up DEAD that she will be in prison for life or the worst the Death Penalty for it!!! AGhghghg! Mr. Smith tries to do it but fails miserably towards the end. Is she really this dense?

Very interesting ... I never thought about Gabriel possibly leaving on a small airplane.

I had been wondering if someone did get him in Victoria and drove from there down to Mexico where in Mexico would that be.

Oh, god, now she thinks she's a celebrity.
.

Well, her FB list of "friends" shows her obvious obsession with "pop" status. Appearances are sooo much more important to her than substance. Just look at her own mess of a life and then the "appearance" of such "christianity".

I bet she is deep deep DEEPLY in denial right now, not ready to admit her made-up world is collapsing, so she's doing the dance of "stardom".

My bet is also that we will see her spiral into true madness amidst a media circus as this tragedy plays out.

How DARE she blame a young father when its so obvious to the world that the mother is mentally ill? Does she not realize that we see the same thing in HER also, and that her "aid" to Elizabeth is a thinly concealed defense of her own illness?

No, Tammi, you cannot make this work out any better than the mess you made of your own past. No amount of colonics, makeup, and sweet-talking will ever do that. Time to get yourself some serious mental healthcare.

I am guessing she is like most people who have all their phone numbers programmed into their phone and doesn't remember them. She was without her cell phone at this point and even if she had it she probably only had Tammi's cell number, which you can't call collect to as far as I know. My question is why would she want to talk to Tammi first thing if she is in jail? Why would she think Tammi would care or help at that time?

You know... I've been thinking about that and I think Jack and Tammi's comments were basically for the camera. If Gabriel doesn't come back though, Elizabeth could very well be in prison for life. I wondered if that has anything to do with LE saying that they have indications he's alive? I've lost my train of thought on that a bit.

I still think Tammi and Jack set this up so that Elizabeth doesn't think they know where Gabriel is or who has him, but they still might know or could find out. I'm a little puzzled by Tammi's comments that they helped so much that Gabriel could be found within the next few days and I'm trying to think what they could have told them without outright letting them know the full extent of their involvement (play along with me here, I'm just theorizing)? I'm sure this is where the body memory or whatever they called it comes in too.

Well.......maybe she doesn't have a landline, but then again ......... SHE LIES.

I don't have a link, but I think the abandonment statute is no contact for 6 months in AZ.
I was just looking at it earlier when I had all the adoption statutes up. I'll look, but I don't know if I can find it again.

Didn't I read in one of these threads that Logan actually got something from CPS stating that EJ was charging him with abandonment?
