Family Denied Visit With Jailed Mom Of Missing Baby

The brother of Elizabeth Johnson, jailed since her son Gabriel went missing around Christmas, was denied a jail house visit today. Robert Johnson attempted to visit his sister, who is being held in the Estrella Jail in Maricopa County on more than $1 million bond on charges of custodial interference, kidnapping and child abuse.
"I just want all this resolved whatever it takes," said Johnson as he walked into the jail lobby.
TPS gets in, no recorders, her own brother doesn't...I want to scream.

So far I have not found a connection between sitter and Tammi on any social networks. I did find sitter on fb but we are not BFF yet :croc:

About an hour ago a lady by the name of Beth posted a comment on the Project life website just to say hi to Becky, the owner. If you look at Beth's profile you can see that she's from Wisconsin and her profile pic has her, her husband and a brand new baby that looks nothing like Gabriel.

Not really ~ only her word to TS that she'd sold it in AZ. :)

The thought that EJ would make any money from selling a laptop really sounds suspicious to me. First of all, Tempe is a college town, so you can always buy a super cheap laptop from a college student that spent too much money on partying and now needs to buy some Ramen noodles. Second of all, the metro Phoenix area is full of people that come here for a second chance. They pack all their belongings and move out here hoping for a better life. They get here, find out the job situation is horrible, so they start selling their stuff in order to get by. Third, what kind of laptop would the mother of an 8 month old baby have? Her money was probably tight ever since Gabriel was born. Bottom line, imo, there's lots more used laptops for sale in Phoenix than there are buyers.

That's convenient timing -- maybe this person has been contacted by LE and to circumvent further contact she did this?

So they let a POI and a member of the media visit her, and now they won't let her twin brother and grandfather visit?

Hmmn not sure what to make of this development

I wish the jail or county would say why they were denied a visit. Did they cut off all visits so Tammi and the reporter couldn't go anymore? Or, are visits limited to only so many times a week? Like with Casey Anthony when her family was visiting her in jail at first, I think she was limited to a visit every 3rd day.

That is a good point! I think she said it was because she was late getting there. Another thing, I wonder how much EJ paid her? :waitasec:

I think it was $40 it was posted several pages ago, the babysitter said that EJ stated something about coming into some money and wasn't sure which direction her life was going...that she wouldn't need her again. This is just what I remember not word for word...I didn't look it up sorry.

But, there could be a reason

Corrections officials said Elizabeth's visitors for the day were restricted to legal advisers.

"The thought going through my head is that her lawyers had told her that she is not to be giving any more interviews. But that has nothing to do with her visiting family," said the older Johnson.

Twin brother Robert said he was highly disappointed he didn't get to see his sister. "It's pretty messed up. Love to see her and I don't know why we can't," said Robert.

Repeated calls to the public defender assigned to the Elizabeth Johnson case to determine why her visitation was pulled went unanswered.

I'm actually thinking that Becky herself contacted her and asked her to do it rather than respond directly to the questions on her site.

That is just so wrong! More than ever before, I think she and the Smiths are in this together. All of it.

"It was our intention to ask her to give up the location of the baby and settle this thing. Life goes on. We can't be playing around with this. There's better ways to settle this than how she's going about it," said the jailed woman's grandfather." http://www.kpho.com/news/22242288/detail.html

Probably she and her attorney don't want anyone visiting who would try to get the real truth out of her. Tammi's a different story

Thank God that this brother and Grandfather care enough about the child to want the truth...and are willing to try to get to the truth..
Seems to me that they know she is lying..

They said legal advisors only today, so maybe they can return tomorrow?

Did anyone think the absence of TS and the presense of an FBI agent on NG tonight was an interesting combination? Interesting in that TS was conveniently not there when the CC information was brought up? Interesting that NG did not seem to think it signficant? She made no real comment on it?

NG seems to be ignoring everything significant in this case. I'm beginning to wonder if her plan is to keep TS babbling on comfortably on her show without making her wary, hoping (with good reason) that TS's big mouth will trip her up. The guests are allowed to point out the obvious without NG being the "bad guy" with TS . . . or am I giving Nancy too much credit?

IDK if this has been brought up, but today I have been wondering about the paperwork that was supposedly signed notaryless at the hotel room, and at first I thought that maybe it was some sort of paperwork in case Gabe needed to see a doctor, but now I am wondering if it could be some sort of financial paperwork?
It all seems ludicrous, but you never know in this case

Has anyone seen the current post on Tammi's facebook? A friend of hers (possibly... or stranger) telling people to "PLEASE STOP ASKING RIDICULOUS QUESTIONS! It is truly annoying as hell!"

I agree. She was like that with Ronald Cummings and his wife/gf and then finally as soon as they were starting to fail tests and such she snapped at them and told them not to lie to her
