So this is one of several cold cases in my state that I am investigating/looking into in my spare time and it stood out to me because of how the victim died. Thrown out of a moving car (a viechle she owned) and left to die. And of course just like with the Robert Trimborn case I posted before it was one that has been completely forgotten.

Her name was Gayle Crouch and in 1997 she was married. From what I learned when I purchased the redacted case file from Glendale PD recently she had a crack cocaine problem. She also was new it town having moved here from Rochester, NY. Her husband brought her out here to get her away from the drugs. Unfortunately drugs are everywhere in America. Her car was found abandoned in east Phoenix days later after being used in a string of robberies.

The main suspect is Kim Pierre Moyaert. Glendale PD linked him to I ran a search in the Arizona Republic archives and found one mention: an article from November 25 1995 saying he was an investigative lead in the Phoenix murder of Jose Valenzuela a man who "died on the sidewalk at 1900 east Van Buren street). I also discovered Moyaert was released from prison in 2008 after serving 5 years for a string of drug related offenses and now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He went by the street name "K-Loc" and the alias "Kim Moyar".

The other suspect who's fingerprints were found in Crouch's car was a friend of Moyaerts who died sometime after the murder named Tywan O' Neal. Moyaert told Glendale PD he was "tight" with him.

Hopefully someday we will finally see an arrest in this case.

So in the police report what did it say when they interviewed him? Is he a good suspect? What were her movements that day?
