Could this be Paul Sanders?

It could be someone missing from America but Gila Bend is a well known place in relation to migrants illegally crossing the Mexican/USA border. I picked an article from 2017...the year he has approx. died.

Warning; graphic pictures in article.

In Sonoyta, migrants are told by the “Coyotes”, people-smugglers they pay to help them cross, to “hug the granites” – the mountains that rise from the desert floor in a line northwards. They tell them they’ll need two litres of water for a two-day hike to get to the relative safety of the Arizona town of Gila Bend. From there they can hitch a ride on highway 85 north towards Phoenix and beyond. But the migrant trail from Sonoyta to Gila Bend doesn’t take two days. It takes 10. And you run out of water long before then.

I don't see it. Off course the recon is an approximation, but what stands out to me are the broad cheekbones and an almost square chin. (Both a bit exaggerate probably) Nose is soft tissue, so hard to reconstruct from partial skeletal remains. John Doe also seems to have a bit of a receding hairline, or a typical hairline. To my eyes (being multiple race) he looks more Caucasian then Hispanic.

The remains were completely skeletal, so the hair is estimated and should not be used for comparison.

The hair is the last thing "to go", so maybe there was some kind of hunch/indication.

Does your hair change color after death?

There is this section

Does Hair Decompose and How Long Does it Take?

This is why hair is one of the few organic relics of death.

But nothing lasts forever, and hair and bones eventually disintegrate. What’s different is how quickly the decomposition process takes place.

The burial environment influences the rate of decomposition to a considerable extent. Soil, moisture, chemicals and the animals found in the environment can either increase the decomposition rate or preserve the corpse. Dry and arid conditions like those found in deserts are excellent preserves of hair, as microbes do not thrive in such conditions. However, in most normal soils, both hair and bone will eventually degrade after a few years.

The mummy of Tiye still has hair and you can see the hairline where it's fallen out.

I spoke with the M.E after I initially posted ( sorry I thought I linked!) They are going to double-check for Paul due to other information they have.

Was it other information for the MP or the UID. Is it possible to share this information?

Given this:

I don't think our decedent was mummified.
There was some questions as to whether or not the artist would be able to tell what his hair would have been like. The mummy was just an example to show that it could be possible that his hairline was noticeable enough for the artist to get an idea of what it could have looked like. Even after a significant length of time.

Yes, my response was to indicate that given that the deceased was found as a 9lb pile of bones, I think the hair still being attached is unlikely.
