I am so glad they have a suspect. This could've happened to anyone including my husband and I, who have sold vehicles on craigslist many times. Praying for the victim's family. :(

So sad, but I think we were expecting something like this to be the case. I am glad the people responsible for this are being held accountable.

During the investigation, police found evidence that indicated the driver of the SUV, 23-year-old Oliver Laris had contact with Gustavo. He told officers he bought the truck from Gustavo for $5,000 and then dropped him off and doesn't know what happened to him.

Gustavo Gonzalez update: Suspect arrested, believed to have killed Phoenix man

First, I cannot believe they actually kept the vehicle. Second, I cannot believe the story he is sticking to. Wait, yes I can!

Here's one about three years ago. They ought to look at this suspect. If they are not already.

Thanks to YOUR link!!!!!

Do you LE is already looking at this or should it be reported?
I really have no idea. It has never even been mentioned in anything that I have seen. They are about 600 officers short at PHX PD, so the detectives working on it may not be aware of any others that are similar.

He has been found and another arrest has been made! They found him back in July, which is probably why he was listed as "located". They waited to announce this though. Probably for the case.

"Phoenix police Sgt. Mercedes Fortune said officers on July 12 responded to a business near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road after a witness reported he had seen a body in the area.

Police arrived and located the body, which appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.

On July 24, the identity of the victim was confirmed to be missing 52-year-old Gustavo Gonzalez."
