Police in Phoenix say a missing person case has now turned into a homicide investigation and a suspect is in custody.
They say 23-year-old Oliver Laris has been booked into jail as authorities search for the body of Gustavo Martinez Gonzalaz.
Officials said Laris was arrested for Gonzales' presumed death, due to evidence that indicated that Laris had contact with Gonzalez, in addition to digital, forensic and physical evidence. The search for Gonzales' body remains underway.
During the investigation, police found evidence that indicated the driver of the SUV, 23-year-old Oliver Laris had contact with Gustavo. He told officers he bought the truck from Gustavo for $5,000 and then dropped him off and doesn't know what happened to him.

First, I cannot believe they actually kept the vehicle. Second, I cannot believe the story he is sticking to. Wait, yes I can!

I really have no idea. It has never even been mentioned in anything that I have seen. They are about 600 officers short at PHX PD, so the detectives working on it may not be aware of any others that are similar.Thanks to YOUR link!!!!!
