Phoenix police stepped up to the plate and this is latest update:
''ABC15 received a message Monday from a detective who had been working on his case for several weeks.
He says after they fingerprinted and identified the Ahwatukee-known man, they discovered that his family is from Buffalo, New York and knows he is here in the Valley now.
The man, whose name is actually Shawn, had a previous home address in the Valley and has a state ID.''
His family didn't forget about him but to find out why he is here that is up Shawn to reveal.
There was no further information released.
Family located in Buffalo NY area.
