Authorities from multiple agencies are searching for a woman who fled from her boyfriend after he allegedly stabbed her in Phoenix over the weekend.

Irene Luevano, 37, called her family around 4 a.m. on Sunday and said she was stabbed in the neck by her partner. They haven’t been able to contact her since.

Officials searching for missing Phoenix woman who police say may be hurt

DPS officials say 37-year-old Irene Luevano was last seen with her boyfriend at a bar near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road on Saturday night. Luevano's family says she called them at 4 a.m. on Sunday, telling them she had been stabbed in the neck by her boyfriend.

DPS officials say Luevano's boyfriend was later found at a local hospital with self-inflicted stab wounds. Luevano and the vehicle are still missing. Luevano is a Hispanic woman, 5'4" tall, 180 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair. She was last seen wearing a black dress and black shoes.

I'm afraid this isn't going to have a positive outcome. I hope they can find her quickly. The key will be to find the car which is likely parked in a busy parking lot. I wonder how he got to the hospital?

Luevano is reportedly a mother of six children, and she is also a new grandmother. Family tearfully voiced hopes for her safety.

“For me, she’s my other half,” said a woman who KPNX did not name. “We’ve been through a lot.”

“We miss you a lot,” another said. “We just want to know if you’re okay and all that.”

“I love you, and I know you’re going to come back,” a boy said, his voice cracking with emotion.

PHX PD tells me the boyfriend of Irene Luevano has been arrested - BUT on unrelated charges. Police are still looking for Irene and her car.

I'm concerned about blood loss here. If she was driving and was bleeding, its possible she drove off the road. Unfortunately if she has blood loss the time is ticking to reach her alive.

Her boyfriend, Jorge Quintero Lara, was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be self-inflicted stab wounds. He was later booked into jail on two forgery charges unrelated to Irene's disappearance.

The family said Luevano and her boyfriend were last seen at the Silverado Canta Bar in west Phoenix near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road Saturday.

Do you think so or did he try to kill himself because of remorse for what he did to IL? I favor the latter. MOO

Missing Irene Luevano's family say she called to say boyfriend stabbed her

Luevano's relatives told ABC15 that the last person Luevano was with before she disappeared was her boyfriend, Jorge Lara, who is also known as George.

Luevano later called a family member and said her boyfriend has stabbed her near her neck, the family told ABC15.

"She's like, 'George stabbed me near the neck' and she's like, 'Call the police, call the police' and I'm like, where are you at? Tell me where you are,'" a family member said.

"She said, '"call the police, I don't think I'm going to make it. I felt like she wanted to tell me where she was at but as soon as she was going to speak more, the line cut off." After that, the family's calls to Luevano went unanswered.

Thirty-seven-year-old Irene Luevano, a mother of five, has been missing for more than 36 hours.

"He has to tell us where she's at, that's all I ask of him...’please tell me where she's at,’" says Arlene Luevano, Irene’s mother.

Irene's mother pleaded with her daughter's boyfriend to give them answers. The family tells us he’s the last person she was with before they received a terrifying phone call.
