If you heard it was on the Celis home, I believe you. Now the question is, did HLN get it wrong?

I know there could be other reasons why it was pointing to the sky or non functional but the fact that nobody mentioned it bothers me a lot considering LE kept asking for anyone to come forward with surveillance videos.

Why didn't they say the family has a camera but it's not working (or something like that) and we need everyone who has surveillance videos to call LE.

HLN did not get it wrong, the producer clearly stated it is on the Celis' home, the pictures shown, show it is on the Celis' home. The camera points towards the alley side of the house but up in the air.

LE has not shared anything about anything with the world.

The neighbour reports suspicious noices, there is a ladder right there, it was 6:30 AM. Assumption is mom was getting ready for work by this time. IIRC, she was at work at 7:30 AM on Saturday. Now we find out there is a camera on the Celis home that is pointing up or broken.

I'm not liking this at all. :sigh:

THE camera doesn't work.

Does NOT point to the alley.

Night everyone. This is just like the incest posts. Much ado about NOTHING with the camera. IMO.

Maybe the family told LE they have cameras but they don't work. And it took a while before LE looked to noticed they were facing the sky??

Maybe LE fingerprinted the cameras, just in case, and forgot to re-aim them at the alley. I assume LE searched the roof for clues.

Thank you. I've lost the "search" function on WS. Weird.

Everyone has :(

Our Search Engine is temporarily disabled. Thank you for your patience. Websleuths Management

I didn't use the search function. I used GOOGLE with "websleuths" AND whatever key words I am looking for....say "ladder."

Is it possible that while LE was doing the initial search of the house, they went up to check to see if the camera was tampered with or as part of seeing whether or not it is broken, an officer moved the camera and didn't move it back in its original place?

His hobbies are all very expensive hobbies. Jet skiing, sailing, boating, fishing, traveling, etc etc.

And he says he is self employed. How the heck does he afford to do all of these expensive and time consuming hobbies by being self employed? Just curious.

I was just about to ask this! Maybe the officer forgot to move it back or maybe he intentionally didn't move it back so the media wouldn't be able to figure out where the camera had been pointed the night Isa disappeared.

I guess that's one reason LE hasn't ruled out a family member. Who would do this and why? :sigh:

IMO, if it was a family member, they were in on it alone. If they were complicit, they would just have turned off the system and told LE either that they haven't had problems and really don't use it, or that they use it to monitor live, but not to record. Pointing it toward the sky was done to because AT LEAST ONE of the Celis' would have proclaimed such a statement to be a lie.

Then again, maybe they really don't use it and were not even aware it was pointing upward

M Klaas asked Nancy to back off the parents a bit. LOL That was awkward. But I agree with him.

It must have been the perp's lucky day to pick a house with a broken surveillance camera.

That's all I'll say ....good night all!

Does NOT point to the alley.

It on the alley-side of the house (back of house) not actually pointing at the alley, but on the alley-side of house and pointing toward the sky.

Unless there are wires hanging, how the heck does NG know the camera is broken? Did they elaborate on how they know it is broken?

It's a scary and horrible thought, but I mentioned on here the other day, the dumpster for 5 Guys Burgers is so close to the Celis house that someone wouldn't even need a car to take her there. There are no obstacles between the home and the dumpsters except for the wall/fence around the yard and then it's a 2 minute walk to the dumpster. Plus, it would be pretty dark after 11 PM, all of those businesses are closed by then.

bwilson,
TY. Could well be what did occur. MOO Awful to think she just wasn't found. MOO Don't recall if LE took dogs to the landfill... JMO
