i DO think it VERY odd the 14 year old got the responsibility of calling 911?? Just doesn't sit right with me.

If the brother called, and he sounded female, and he said "my sister is missing... here's what she was wearing... I'll wait here for police...", then dispatch would say "the complainant is the sister".

It blows my mind they have no attorney with all this heat on them, it means two things to me, they are either incredibly stupid or incredibly innocent.

I agree. I really can't decide where I fall on this, since there are some really, really dumb criminals out there. And then there are innocents who truly think that LE can always find the truth. I really think they should engage a lawyer at this point, particularly since they're now agreeing (or being coerced) into splitting the family up via CPS.

I think there is something very serious with Sergio to keep him from his kids and separate the family. CPS is reluctant to break up families like that unless there is concrete evidence Sergio is a threat to the boys. CPS is used to dealing with ex-spouses making heinous, false allegations against each other, so there has to be more than just allegations involved to take this drastic measure. CPS probably talked with the boys and learned something that warranted the move. I honestly think Sergio is the focus of the investigation, especially since he apparently was the last to see Isabel alive.

On the flip side, CPS is also faillable - giving the kids back in Josh Powell's case when there was stark evidence that they never should have gone to him. There are plenty of cases noted as well where they have split families up with no serious allegations. CPS is made up of humans, so quality can vary.

I absolutely agree, and that's also what I gleaned from JVM. I was responding to the other poster suggesting the dispatch was confused because of so many phone calls. (The numerous calls wouldn't explain the confusion about the sex of the caller, imo.)

Hm. Not sure about that - just off the top of my head, think about Keegan Schuchart. Dad STILL doesn't have custody of his kids back. Boils my blood.

But I think in that case Keegan's dad tested positive for drugs. So he's not being kept away from his children because of his emotional state as some here have speculated about Sergio.

I agree. I think LE/CPS believe Sergio himself is the threat to the boys' welfare, but how and why?

The LE spokesperson said Sergio is giving the older children some space and distance.

SC is an ultra emotional man, perhaps he was breaking down the entire time, maybe watching the boys 24/7 out of fear anyone harming them, which would result in the boys witnessing all of their father's emotional breakdowns them becoming part of it at times (like the example SC gave while interviewed), and that affecting them tremendously.

The "Sergio giving the boys some space" to me indicates that he was doing the opposite, even if it was out of love for his children. IMO

Consider the source. JVM is often histrionic in her delivery. She may interpret everything with that kind of filter. Remember, she wants to say BOMBSHELL as often as possible.

I find it very suspicious that Sergio had his son call 911 instead of calling them himself. Sergio is the one who discovered Isa was missing, he could have called from his cell phone if he didn't want to stop looking for her long enough to call 911!

I don't have a problem with the 14 year old making the initial 911 call. He should be responsible enough at 14 to get the cops there ASAP!

This is just my opinion only. Main Stream Media is pitiful. What happened that they can't write a coherent sentence and only report (voice-wise) speaking like they have a sore throat and need to have surgery to remove their tonsils and andoids. Local news here, seems to hire the dumbest. Maybe it's just me.
