BBM I noticed that too and found it interesting. But, I also didn't mention our anniversary last year, and we have a very loving marriage. Then again, I don't really post much on fb to begin with. :)

If you have entered your birthday and anniversary, even if you don't mention it, all your friends will get a reminder about it.

Lt. Fabian Pacheco told KGUN9 detectives, as recently as Thursday, “came into some information which they considered to be important enough to share with Child Protective Services. They contacted these folks, they sent one of their personnel here to police headquarters.”

Pacheco said that CPS representative met with Tucson police and then with the Celis family. He stressed that is common practice in missing child cases and CPS has been involved with this case since about the beginning.

But Pacheco said CPS has “instituted some safety measures to ensure the children's welfare." The department clarified by email late Friday, stating Isabel's two older siblings are now in the custody of one parent and the other parent is not allowed to see the children. The department wouldn't elaborate further and would not say which parent has custody because that may hamper the investigation.

“There's a lot of details that I can't share with you: what got us to this point, what was that information,” Pacheco said.

KGUN9 contacted CPS, which confirmed it is "working closely with law enforcement." A statement from the agency to KGUN9 read: "At the present time, the children are not in CPS custody. The [Ariz. Department of Economic Security] appreciates the community's support and understanding in protecting the privacy rights and safety needs for these children during this ongoing joint investigation."

That's very likely. Teachers are mandatory reporters. If they even slightly suspect any type of abuse they must report it. If a mandatory reporter overheard a conversation between one of the boys and some friends, that person is required to report it to the proper authorities.

I used to coach at a private Catholic school and had to go through a reporting module to be cleared to coach. I was/am a mandatory reporter of suspected abuse.

I hope you really DO report anything you hear or see. I hate to sound like a broken record, but it is not up to you or the school to "investigate" or try to determine the veracity of the claims, you are just supposed to pick up a phone and make a call.

My daughter told her school nurse, school principal, school vice principal, two teachers, her guidance counselor and a PSYCHIATRIST that she had been molested daily for two years and all of them called me to "investigate" instead of reporting. I confirmed that I had just learned of it, and they asked if I wanted them to call and I said YES. I wanted there to be lots of witnesses to her revelation. It was not until we complained to police and charges were filed that I learned I was the ONLY person to report it. I even wrote to the medical board about the shrink and they wrote back to say they weren't getting involved.

I think you made a good observation. You're right that some do post way too much info but if someone posts pictures of their children and other family members and NOT one picture of their spouse or a family photo with the 5 of them, I would think that is very suspicious. It's not like Sergio is a stranger to the camera, kwim?

Maybe this sounds stupid, but SOMEONE is holding the camera. I am not in very many vacation photos because I hate being photographed. I volunteer to take pictures so nobody figures that out.

I would chalk up the daily mail thing to bad reporting.

I agree. The article also states that SC woke her up so she could get ready for school.

So, I'm watching an episode of Dr. Phil about a brother who, when at the age of 12, was coerced in to confessing to the murder of his sister.

I hope this isn't the case, and I'm almost sure it isn't, but, what if this is happening in this case? What if the police are going over the night in question, over and over again with the boys. What if they are subtly dropping hints to the boys about their mom and/or dad being involved with Isa's disappearance. We know that cops are allowed to lie during an interrogation. What if LE has the boys remembering something that didn't happen?

Again, I don't think this is the case but it's still in the back of my head because things like this really do happen to innocent people.

Good point, Carole

I still feel like I felt yesterday, that the "information discovered" about Sergio might be completely unrelated to Isabel's disappearance. I think there were some skeletons in the closet, and maybe RC even knew, and that is why they came out saying they want the focus "not on them but in finding Isabel", and why RC said in the GMA interview that they will be glad to talk w media if it is about getting Isabel's face out there, but not if it is about them or suspicions about them.
LE still saying this evidence doesn't necessarily mean SC is the main suspect also fits in w that theory...
I am not too firm in this theory, but right now it makes the most sense IMO

Join the club.

LOL!

I think Dad is involved in something!
Placed his family in danger!

Could it have to do with smuggling the human kind?

In all the articles I have read, it seems like LE is working WITH CPS on Isabel's case. I don't know what to think..the info LE chooses to release confuses me to.

I sure hope someone is watching Sergio right now.

LE has been quiet about many factors in this case, yet announced the no contact order. Could it be that they believe he did it and by making the no contact order public that Sergio just may break and confess?

I've a feeling someone is going to lawyer up soon too.

OT: In the event that I can't log-in or have trouble getting WS to load - took several tries this morning - I want to wish everyone here Happy Mother's Day. Whether you are a mom, grandmother, aunt, cat-mom, dog-mom, I hope you share a magical day with your family and friends.

Now, I will play catch-up on overnight posts and this new thread.

Do we know for sure when Becky left for work? IF BC and SC were separated at the time, that puts a new spin on things for me. I mean it's possible that the kids were alone until Sergio got there at 8.

I remember a few years back a couple that was smuggled into the us had their baby stolen for non payment...

Just a thought!

I truly wonder if RC even stayed the night at the home when Isa went missing. They seem distant...could they have been separated at the time of the disappearance?

Information about her morning and what time she got up for work, left for work and arrived at work has not been answered by LE.

LOL It makes sense though, doesn't it? No details about the mom that morning are discussed. Why? I don't think those details would harm the investigation if they got out.

And if it were the case, perhaps this does have a potential of a disappearance because of a custody dispute or a possible one upcoming.
