Serious legitimate question here... Could this be some kind of a HOAX? JMHO

LE also does not have to say if the DO have a POI in mind...as long as they are not focusing solely on one person or one possible scenario, they are doing their job. If in fact they learn things along the way that lead them to a certain person, well, that is how crimes are solved. JMO

A hoax by the parents? For what purpose?

A hoax by LE? IMHO, no way.

This to me is different than the PD issuing a specific warning to parents. A community group meeting is to make parents in the community feel safe and connected. The public should always "be aware" and "look out for children." It doesn't mean the Isa case specifically points to a kidnapper. Part of a PD's outreach is to work with concerned community groups and be more visible and seen in a positive light.

If you read my earlier post today when I replied to one of your earlier posts ........you would see many cases I listed where LE did NOT warn the community that their kids could be in danger and those cases were when a stranger pedophile had struck..kidnapped/raped and murdered a child.

So by this LE doing the same means nothing to me. I cant even remember one child abduction case in recent years where LE did their jobs and warned the community. Maybe they had tunnel vision so badly at the time that they were sure it was a family member or someone known to the victim.

That did not help the community though that should have been warned.

IMO

KOLD (Tucsonewsnow.com) just showed the transcripts of the 911 call. They just rec'd them & will be updated asap. I'd check their site to see if they have posted them.

Oh, she must be the one that can communicate what the situation is! Call her! Try again. I'm sure she'll want us all to call. Not!

CPS can't tell two adults that they can't be in contact with each other, unless one has filed an RO. So that is not so weird.

IF Sergio turns out to be the target of the invesitigation (IF)- at least it seems as though LE may have some info that may help them. JMO I just want to see one of these child missing cases solved.

They can in my state as part of a safety plan. Not sure if it differs in Arizona, but I've seen it here in Ohio. As a condition for keeping custody of your kids, you agree to have no contact with person X, even if they are the father/mother of your child.

I don't get that vibe either. Somebody in Sergio's "circle" of friends, family, acquantances? I don't know.

Well I have to go back the Isabel Celis i found that murdered a woman
in 2003...This isabel Celis and her son Miguel Celis went to jail for 25 years
for this crime. they left her in a dump. Now granted this happend in calif but ppl move and these Celis's could very well be related.

NOw these ppl seek revenge and seek out Little Isabel Celis and take her for what the other Isabel Celis did to their loved one...
this family could have been hiding from them...

LOL I dont know it makes sense to me.

It was a very brutal murder!

I am not picking up on any signs of LE having tunnel vision in this case. I think they are doing everything possible to avoid it, in fact. JMO

I am not getting the vibe that Sergio is a threat to the kids out of any of this, I know I have argued the case over and over and some of you believe that to be the case and I may be wrong but it seems there is another reason, what it may be I have no idea.

Could he have possibly had a melt-down? Understandable in this situation. IMOHO Pax is right, he needs an attorney. So does Becky.

What if Sergio has a good idea who took Isa and has decided to "go rogue"?

Just throwing it out there. :doorhide:

Yep, more than one call to 911 like I thought.

Per Jane: It was the older brother that called 911 and then the mother called 911

  • #1,175
The first 911 caller was the 14 year old! They thought the caller was a female, because of his young voice.

BBM.. For what purpose? I don't know but there are crazy people in this world.. So your guess, I supsect, would be as good as mine.. IMHO Neither of the parents seem to be too overly distraught over a child being missing.. I would be a basket case IF it were my child...JMHO

He really is being honest imo. He doesnt want the community to think he has a suspect when he doesnt and them expecting a resolution to Isa's case.

He didnt even say they were making that much progress or that they were sure this case was going to be solved.

Usually LE tries to put on an air of confidence whether they really believe it themselves.

IMO

What are the reasons, for all you experts out there, that he would be removed from the kids but still be allowed to see Becky?

I am not an expert. I have a question.

If LE had somehow overheard Sergio speaking privately with Becky, could they have heard him suggest or threaten to do something foolish, like take the boys and go to live in Mexico? If Sergio said these things out of frustration with the media coverage or public opinion, he might have realized that he shouldn't have said it and really wouldn't do such a thing, but LE would still have to take his words seriously and move to protect the boys (and to cover their butts). Would a situation like this fit the LE description that Sergio himself is not a threat to the boys unless they are with him? :moo:

I guess I saw it differently. I think they are feeling pretty confident, although about finding Isabel, maybe not. But I get the feeling they are somewhat confident in what happened, to some extent. JMO

911 calls are from Sergio, Rebecca & son.

They are going to be playing the 911 calls by the end of the news cast. (KOLD)
