IDK I am thinking the Dad sounds out of it (as in under the influence of something) and that does not necessarily make him involved in Isa's dissapearance, but it might explain the CPS involvement. Just my impression...

I think it was strange that he said "my 14 yo son noticed that her screen was taken off her window."
If he went in to wake her, and she was not in the bed, how did HE not notice the window open and screenless?? If we take him on that word, then he went to tell his son Isa was gone and his son went into Isa's room and noticed the screen gone? I don't buy that. I think he was trying to separate himself from the circumstances. This is my first time really thinking this, but I think he wanted to ignore the screen and act like he didn't see it so his son could be the one to "discover" it. I am not loving Sergio right now.

I agree 100%. Thought the same thing when I read the transcript.

It is just really hard to say how someone should act during times like this. When my nana died the whole family cried and cried and cried and I could not cry, I dont know why and her and I were the closest in the whole family, my nana was my life, on the other hand in the year leading up to her death I cried myself to sleep every single night knowing the pain she was going through in her old age and sickness.

I tend to be very calm and controlled during a crisis. It is the only way I can be. If I let emotion start to take control, I would be a mess. I would hate to be judged for remaining calm :what:

Me too. I know posters would eat me alive if they heard me on 911 calls I have made! LOL!

We had someone break into our home at night when we first moved in and hadnt put the deadbolts on yet and I was here with our 10 year old son because my hubby went to work around 2am back then. I calmy called 911 even when I knew he was still inside and in our living room. I am very very calm under pressure and then after it is over with I go all to pieces afterwards.

Sergio reminds me of my best friend who laughs at the oddest times when something bad is happening. She laughs when she is actually very nervous and wants to diminish the seriousness of the situation.

Imo, Sergio was trying to convince himself this was no big deal and that Isa would be found somewhere in the neighborhood.

Yes but at that time youre not thinking the worse and are likely assuming she is down the street or something, I seriously doubt youre considering a perp came in and took her from her bed in that first hour. Youre calling the police thinking she is nearby or something probably.

I would totally agree if he didn't lead with "abducted".

That's what bugs me too. SC's call would make sense if SC thought, e.g., his 14 year old had run away and RC was forcing him to call 911 while he thought she was over-reacting. But here he immediately says that he thinks that Isa has been abducted so his super calm affect is just... creepy.

It's not so much the inclusion or exclusion of tears or level of panic (or exclusion of panic), I think it's what info and detail is being told on a 911 call, along with the overall tone. Those are the kinds of things that might be noticed and examined.

I've made 911 calls where I have been very calm and collected (Even after a bad car accident in which I blacked out)...but you can always tell I am upset, and my voice wavers. SC is like..almost medicated calm. Not even just calm and matter of fact - but very subdued...it is very very unnatural to me.

If my 6 year old was nowhere to be found in the morning, there is no way I would be calmly thinking...oh she must be down the road. I would be freaking out of my mind!!!!!

Occasionally, one of my kids has earphones on in another room, DH or I call them and when they don't answer by the second or third time we start to panic. And we know they are in the house!! But we still FREAK out! We figure they must be passed out somewhere. Ok...maybe we are a little neurotic :blushing:

I don't think he went to his son's to tell them Isabel was gone, but that he went to their room to see if maybe Isabel was in their room. IMO

I'm glad you mentioned that. I was afraid to state it. He is sooooo relaxed. He sounds like he is high on weed or on benzos, IMO.

I do wonder why SC sounds so out of it. Weird how they acted so differently on the calls, and then flip flopped in the press conferences. SC calm, RC not and then RC more controlled, and Sergio not. I would be interested in hearing from those who made note of RC being more controlled and less emotional in light of the 911 tapes.

Because of that I am thinking he was putting on a performance in the press.
Waaay too calm, almost as if he was only calling because he had to.
Mom and son sounded very worried. I felt bad for them.
I wonder if Dad is a drug user. Sounded disconnected. Could have been high that night and why he isn't to be around the children.

I mean, exactly how would SC know that Isa was abducted?

It's like he's setting up the scenario that LE should follow. Kind of reminds me a bit of Darlie Routier's call to 911 (minus the hysteria). Already setting up alibis, actions, talking about evidence.

Why? Hadnt his son already told him he saw the screen off of the window? If I knew the screen was off I would think she had been abducted.
