Really peeps, you think FF was all about Obama wanting more gun control? Paranoid much?

If gun control were truly the all important issue that some think it is tho this administration, then the Giffords shooting would have been a far greater opportunity to act in along those lines than FF would have ever been...and yet nothing,zip,nada...

FF was certainly a screwup but as a means of grabbing your guns not likely at all..but hey believe what you want

I posted last night I thought SC had expected RC to be making that 911 call, but she didn't follow her normal routine. Still think that.

In thinking about the cartel theory, could SC have been a cartel wannabee? Meaning, he was doing something illegal along the way and gotten in over his head? I don't have any pay sites to search, but couldn't find link between him and those named in articles I read.

I'm sure not all criminal activity in their area is cartel related, but I'm sure it can run into or overlap, or have I watched too many movies?

This is the first rumor I heard about SC in the first 24 hours after missing Isa. I thought there was no way. But I heard that people were after SC from a past thing involving drugs. But that is all I ever heard about it, and the only rumor I have heard. Until proof, I still take it as rumor. But still in the back of my mind.:waitasec:

I heard something similar, and we are talking about a big time operation, not some guy on the street corner selling baggies of pot to teenagers. I don't know all the details, and it is STRICTLY a rumor, but I have heard it from a few locals.

Nothing like kidnapping a little kid to bring attention to your super secret drug cartel.

moo

Exactly. Makes no sense, imo

This is sex crime or child abuse.

How is it that there are almost 800 posts since last night about a rumor that was posted by an unverified member???

WS does not allow rumors because they are believed to be a fact by many and rumors take on a life of their own (with wings and a tail)!!!

Unless someone can provide concrete evidence that Sergio was involved in a cartel, this kind of discussion needs to end NOW!!

It's fine to speculate that this is a possibility, but it is NOT ok to state this as a fact. And, I'm reading WAY too many posts that are stating this as a fact.

Or cadaver dogs? Anyone know?

Was there ever any mention of footprints in the dirt under her window? Unless someone leapt like Spiderman from the windowsill to the wall, there had to be footprints if someone came through that window.

If it is no secret then why hasn't this awesome LE team arrested him way before now?

IMO

Maybe he was helping LE with some kind of drug sting as an informant of some sort and the people he was double-crossing found out? I really do not know any more than the rest of you, but it could explain LE not accusing him of anything specific, and could even explain some of the prior "dropped charges" if true.

I am personally not even thinking cartel. At all. And gawd no... my thought process has NOTHING to do with the family being of Hispanic/Mexican origin. This family is American in my mind - 100%. They may have relatives in Mexico. But I probably do, too. So do many officials in Arizona. And where is the focus of Fast 'n Furious?

Late in this chat... I am admitting here, I watched NG a lot during the Casey Anthony trial, and I remember she and other guests laughing at the idea of druggers snatching kids for ransom, or owed drug money. But we in Arizona know this to be true. Folks not living in a border state may not be aware of things like this, but it is true. Phoenix was the "Kidnap Capital" last year!

How many of those are 6 year old little girls but not the ADULT family members?

I think it is possible that his overall hinkiness brought the abductors to the door that night.

I guess that's where I differ with so many recent posts. I don't think their were any "abductors."

The most important question for me right now is why release the 911 calls now? It's been almost a month. What is there to gain by releasing them at this time?

Good question. Is it a coinkydink that they were released at same time as CPS involvement?

When my nephew was a year old, he had a seizure at my house. I was freaking out, called 911, and I know I was very angry, getting very frustrated with the operator. She kept asking his name, his age, his weight, over and over. I answered her the first time and then finally yelled, "IT DOESN'T MATTER!! Just get someone here, PLEASE!!! His eyes are rolling in back of his head and he's foaming at the mouth!!" I don't remember what else I said but I know I wasn't very nice. I found the questions (at the time) stupid and pointless. I don't get how anyone can remain calm in an emergency situation. I know some people do, but for me, it was impossible because I wanted help and I wanted it yesterday.

I understand what you went through. People don't understand, even if the 911 operator tells them over and over again the police and the ambulance is already responding, they just want the police there immediately. At my job we hit F4 button and the call is dispatch and we stay on the phone to get more information. The public should really be made aware of this.

After having read so many theories, rumors, facts and 911 calls ~ the only thing I can conclude is that the more I know, the less I know.

SC certainly is looking more and more suspicious as each day passes, though.

I almost posted that same thought in my original musings - was it to 'justify' the CPS involvement and no-contact order? Or something else? Or both?

They released the 911 calls immediately after Sergio had to move out. CPS would remove the kids from both parents if he didn't agree to move out. (This is frequently done in domestic abuse cases in PA.) I think the 911 calls were released to further separate Rebecca from Sergio. LE needs Rebecca to realize that the community won't support Sergio and she doesn't have to support him either.

Hey all, I'm in Phoenix (about 90 miles from Tucson) and one of the radio stations here did a facebook poll (so you know it's super official lol) asking people if they feel that the father is involved and 100% said yes after hearing the 911 call. Now I know that everyone reacts differently, myself, I get very calm in the middle of craziness but even I wouldn't have been giggling with the 911 operator or sounding like I was ordering a pizza. I hear nothing in his voice that sounded like fear or even slight concern. JMHOO but I kept thinking that everyone needed to cut the parents a break until I hear the dad. Something just ain't right there.

It seems like the universal reaction to hearing the calls based on the above and the reactions by the posters here was one of suspicion toward SC. Was that the goal? Public pressure?
